4. Intertwined Destinies

One night, Valerian found himself in a dream. Seraphina appeared in the dream, and this time something was different. Valerian was certain that Seraphina was his destiny. He awoke from his sleep feeling restless, his heart constantly thinking of Seraphina. The spark of belief that she was still nearby tickled his mind.

Valerian knew he had to find Seraphina. But elsewhere, Seraphina was in the same struggle. She had dreamed of Valerian, though she didn't really understand what the dream meant. Both people can't sleep, and somehow they feel that there is a supernatural connection between them.

Seraphina decided to find out more. She grabbed her cell phone and started searching the Internet for the meaning of the dream that had always haunted her. Suddenly, she stumbled upon information that stunned her. Much of what she found spoke of a Lycan King searching for his destiny.

This destiny was important, not only for Valerian, but also for the peace of his life and the continuation of his bloodline. Seraphina began to connect the pieces of her dream with this information, and everything began to click.

Seraphina sat at her dressing table, unable to sleep, her eyes staring at her phone screen with mixed emotions. Her mind was filled with the mystery of Valerian, the Lycan King who had changed her life. Now she was even more convinced that her destiny was inextricably linked to the mysterious creature.

On the other hand, Valerian felt driven by the same feelings. There was no sign of fatigue on his handsome face, for he knew that something great was stirring beneath the surface. Valerian thought about Seraphina and how she appeared so strongly in his dreams.

Neither of them knew that they were going through a similar experience. Their thoughts were constantly intertwined, as if fate had mercilessly bound them together.

The next day, Seraphina awoke and had breakfast with Darius as usual. But something happened to her when she felt nauseous and smelled a strange odor around her. Seraphina got up from her seat, covering her nose, and rushed to the sink.

Darius, noticing Seraphina's strange behavior, also got up and looked at her situation. Seraphina was vomiting and her face looked pale.

"Are you sick?" asked Darius, raising his eyebrows in surprise.

Seraphina, who still felt nauseous because the smell was very strong in her sense of smell, ordered Darius to leave with a gesture of her hand.

Darius, who did not understand at first, only raised half an eyebrow in surprise.

"Please, move away a little. I feel sick from smelling your perfume. I apologize," Seraphina said quickly before vomiting the contents of her stomach back into the sink.

Darius immediately returned to the dining table, watching Seraphina from here. "What's wrong with her? Is she sick?" Darius muttered.

After regurgitating all the contents of her stomach, Seraphina returned to her seat. She moved slightly away from Darius. "I really apologize for having to keep my distance from you. I feel sick when I smell your perfume."

"Oh, that's okay. I don't think you're feeling well. I'll call my personal physician to check on you. It's better if you don't come to work today," Darius said before finally getting up from his seat as he finished his breakfast.

"Thank you, Darius." Seraphina's eyes looked weak. She resumed eating.

"I'll go first, the doctor will be here in about fifteen minutes. When you've finished eating, go back to your room. If anything bad happens to you, you can call me." Darius said with a slight smile before leaving the dining room.

Seraphina felt strange in her body. She had never experienced anything like this before. In fact, she felt weak and shaky after vomiting all the contents of her stomach, which was not too much since Seraphina had not finished her meal.

"I guess it's because I was awake last night after that dream," Seraphina mumbled, thinking of nothing but her lack of sleep.

Not long after, the doctor Darius had promised arrived. He waited for Seraphina to finish eating and then they went into the room.

"Hello, I am Dr. Reina. What's your name? I just saw you today, are you related to Darius? I don't think Darius has anybody," Reina said after she introduced herself and asked Seraphina back because she was very curious.

Seraphina smiled broadly. "I'm Seraphina and I happen to live here. Darius rescued me from the bad guys. He told me to stay here and work in his company because I have no one else in this world," Seraphina explained, which made Doctor Reina nod briefly.

Then Seraphina was examined. Doctor Reina sensed that something was wrong. Suddenly she asked Seraphina. "Did you ever have sex with Darius?"

"Huh? What?" Seraphina asked back, completely surprised by Doctor Reina's question.

"I apologize for surprising you with such a personal question. But it seems that you are pregnant." Doctor Reina told the truth again, which Seraphina could not believe.

Pregnant? Pregnant with whose child? That was what Seraphina had in mind.

"You must be surprised, right? I'll come back with a test pack. Maybe you can prove the truth with it. I'm sure the symptoms you're experiencing are good news about your pregnancy," said Doctor Reina, who then left the room, leaving Seraphina with her confusion.

"There's no way I'm pregnant, if I'm pregnant that means the child in this womb is Valerian's?" muttered Seraphina in the quietest tone possible.

"No! I don't want to have offspring with that cruel man!" Seraphina shook her head vigorously, rubbing her stomach to calm herself.

It felt like Seraphina was really dizzy thinking about this puzzle. After all, it had been two weeks since she had been here. If it was true that she was pregnant, the intercourse that traumatized Seraphina would have been fruitful. Besides, she hadn't taken any morning-after pills and hadn't used protection when she had sex with Valerian.

Seraphina's curiosity led her to grab her cell phone and search the Internet for the truth. In her search, Seraphina asked the Internet if humans like her could conceive a Lycan child. And it turns out that it is the destiny of the Lycan to be able to conceive a Lycan child. Seraphina was totally shocked. She felt that this was like what happened in her dream until finally Doctor Reina came and Seraphina put her cell phone back.

"Well, this is the tool, are you ready to check in the bathroom?" Doctor Reina asked Seraphina.

Before she sat down, Seraphina nodded in agreement. She was very curious herself. She took the test pack from Dr. Reina's hand. Seraphina, who had never used it before, got an explanation from Doctor Reina on how to use the tool.

In the bathroom, Seraphina did it carefully. She hoped the truth would not come out. She hoped that the result would be negative. She even closed her eyes as she prayed. Seraphina didn't want to see the result herself. She was afraid that she would faint in the bathroom, so she took out the test kit that showed the result. Dr. Reina saw it and told Seraphina the result.

"Look, I was right, you are pregnant. Congratulations, Mrs. Seraphina, on finally having a baby. Darius would be very happy if he knew about this news," said Doctor Reina, making Seraphina rush to see for herself.

"What, am I really pregnant?!" Seraphina screamed in her heart. It felt like she was really weak at the moment, bad luck had happened to her again. It wasn't that she blamed the presence of the baby. But why did she have to be pregnant with the child of a cruel man who had hurt her physically and mentally?

It hurt like hell. Even now.
