Chapter One

Everyday was the same for her, nothing less, nothing more, no differences. She was in the night club again, drowning herself in addiction to drinks.

"Hey beautiful, do you want me to accompany you? This night won't feel so lonely, let me accompany you." Serena was sitting alone on the sofa at the nightclub when a guy came to her and soon he put his hand on her waist, meaning something else. She was drunk to the hell but not blind and unconscious.

"F*ck off!" She looked at him angrily as if she was going to punch him.

Laughing, he pulled her closer. Serena touched his hand, as he thought she was going to cooperate. She squeezed his hand behind his back and pushed him away with all her strength. She was about to punch him, the way she was looking at him said so. Getting scared by her glance at him he didn't dare to say anything let alone touching her.

When she came to the nightclub for the first time she didn't know how to save herself from the bad guys but soon she became bold. She not only knew how to protect herself but she also knew how to save others. She was going to get married to a man whom her uncle and aunty chose for her. You can say she was sold to him, in order to get money they sold her to him and he as a gentleman gave them a huge amount of money.

She didn't have a grudge against her husband but she prayed that he wouldn't marry her. How good he was as a man that just because he loves her he agreed to pay them and marry her instead. But did she want it? She never wanted to marry him nor did she feel like he was a good man. Strange it was!

She was beautiful, it's true but she was not rich. Her uncle and aunty were very greedy so they didn't spend a single penny on her for her studies so she had completed her graduation secretly and soon they fixed her engagement with one of the boys who had a crush on her. Since then she chose to live like it was her last day. Getting drunk, going to nightclubs and sometimes stealing money from those handsome men who wanted her as their food on the bed. She never wanted to steal but she didn't have another choice.

Taking her purse, she walked towards the exit when her legs were trembling. A zig Zag, she put her high heels off and taking them in her hand she got in a taxi and shot herself with a lot of weird dreams. What did she do? Did she kill someone? Was she a sinner? Why was she getting punished for what she never did?

Since her parents died, nobody showed her sincerity, she was pathetic but strong. She kept making herself stronger… but by marriage, she would be happy to be a nun but not someone's wife and at the end bear a lot of kids. They were never in her to-do list or wish.

"Miss, we're here," said the driver. Serena smiled like a stupid and pulled herself together to got out of the car.

She cried out stupidly. "Thanks a lotttt, bro. Good night…" she said, smiling drunkenly.

Then she pushed the gate of her house forcefully. As the gate opened she kissed it, still smiling like a stupid. "You! Also… good night to you, bro…"

With her trembling legs, she managed to walk in the house. As soon as she walked in the living room, she heard her Aunt's harsh voice.

"Oh, our Cinderella finally came back. Please bring a glass of honey water, honey."

Every night, Serena would come back late at night and her aunt would say the same thing, pretentious care. She didn't need it.

Pushing her away she walked to the staircase when her Aunt held her hand.

"Where are you going? Stay here!"

"I am going to my room. Is that… clear?"

Getting angry at her, her Aunt walked upstairs and held her hand roughly then she pulled her hand and walked downstairs. "Do you take us as your servant? Everyday you vomit and we have to wash it for you. Instead of being grateful to us you just want to create more problems for us! What a brat!"

Ignoring them completely, she walked upstairs again but her Aunt pulled her hand so forcefully that she ended up hitting her head on the corner of the stairs.

"How can you be so arrogant? Day by day you are getting more shameless! Who knows how many men you slept with till now! You're lucky that Mr. Mathew still wants to marry you."

Her aunt never liked her. They tortured her only, and Serena never went against them but it was enough. They couldn't possibly hurt her all the time. She had to fight back.

Serena got up, trying to pull herself together. As she was drunk she was not in the position to fight back but they were starting it. Serena took the glass of honey water from the plate her Uncle made for her, she drank it one time ago. She was silent for a minute then she sat on the couch comfortably, like a queen. She let out in a cold tone. "Of Course, you are my servant. If not serving me what else do you think you are capable of doing?"

"You! How dare you…" When her Aunt was walking towards her with a fist, she interrupted her.

"If you dare hit me I'll have my own way to kick you out of this house! I'm sleepy so stop your stupid nonsense and clean up everything. Good night."

With her trembling legs, Serena managed to get into her room. It was a little room, a single bed, a little teddy and some of her clothes in an old, small wardrobe. A messy room but she could find peace in her room, what else did she had? Nothing. No parents, no friends, no relatives who cared for her. Even though most of her clothes were old and ragged, stealing got her money to drink but nothing else.

She didn't buy any clothes with the money she stole. She could see her life was becoming a living hell, not becoming but it was already. Was there anything that could make her desire for her life? She didn't want to live like that either, she thought she was just a burden for her parents that's why they left her alone in the world and they themselves went to live in paradise.

Resting her head on the bed and sitting on the floor, she looked at the old fan on the roof. Tears started rolling down her eyes, she had no words to utter but the pain in her heart was finding its own way to express itself. Tomorrow. She is going to marry a man tomorrow. Would everything change? Or it'd be worse? She was prepared for everything… The pain, then turned into a way of letting her fall asleep. Her world darkened soon as her eyes closed with tears in them.

"Boss, he still didn't utter a single word. I heard he's going to marry a girl tomorrow. What should we do?" A man in a black suit asked another man who was sitting on the armchair comfortably with a magazine over his eyes.

He didn't move but said, "Send his death news to the girl's family, and his relatives. Nobody except them should know about it, including the girl… she must not know it. Get it?"

The man in the black suit nodded his head. "Got it, boss." And left.

The man who was sitting on the armchair got up and went downstairs. As soon as he went downstairs all the servants gathered, waiting for his order. "Mrs. Fiana, I am giving you all the responsibilities. I believe you won't disappoint me."

He had both of his hands in his pocket when he spoke in a cold tone.

"Thank you, Sir. I've already explained everything to them, there won't be any mistakes. Please rest assured," said Mrs. Fiana when all the servants had their eyes on the ground. She saw him growing up, though he was a cold hearted man but he never treated anybody badly.

He talked less, he was demanding, a picky eater but he was a good person. Mrs. Fiana had been working in the mansion for many years and she wanted to work there until she would die.

"Great then." He then walked upstairs and everything let out a sigh of relief.

Whenever they saw their boss they felt like they were reporting to the police. One mistake and they'd be behind the jail.

Only Mrs. Fiana would have her eyes straight while talking to him, the rest were kind of scared of him.
