Tim pulled off his mask before he got to the General Manager's office and opened the door expectantly but he was not prepared for what he saw. His eyes went straight to the secretary's desk and he was disappointed to see it empty.

His disappointment was visible to all but the clerk could not say the reason.

He fixed his eyes on him as though he could get the answer to his question from his face before he sat down and appreciated him, “Thank you, for the offer, Clerk.”

As simple as the information was, it soothed his troubled spirit.
