"‘Say it,’ Therion growled against Ashriel’s throat, pinning him down with a strength that stole his breath. ‘Say you’re mine—even if you’re still pretending to be something you’re not.’" In a kingdom poisoned from within, power is everything and trust is a luxury no one can afford. Ashriel, a ruthless alpha whose rule is forged in blood and control, craves revenge from one man above all—Therion, the Alpha who's brother murdered his.. But Therion is no helpless captive. He is a spy, sent to dismantle Ashriel’s empire from the inside, slowly unraveling the kingdom with a sickness no one can trace. Every touch, every stolen glance is a lie. Yet every lie pulls him deeper into the very arms he swore to betray. As desire ignites into obsession, Ashriel finds himself entangled not only with the alpha before him, but also with a faceless stranger in the shadows—an anonymous lover whose hands feel achingly familiar. What Ashriel doesn’t know is that the two are one and the same. A web of deception, passion, and ruin tightens around them both. When the truth comes to light, will love be enough to survive betrayal… or will it destroy them along with the kingdom?
더 보기Ashriel paraded through the halls of his mansion down to his dining room where his council members were waiting for him. Today marked the day he would sign the peace treaty with the BlackClaw pack and prevent a war with his own pack and theirs.
“Alpha, this council head spoke up at the head of the table. He took a bow before the fellow members rose up and imitated him.
“Thank you, Dean,”
Ashriel was young. One of the youngest alphas to lead a pack but when his brother had been killed, he swore he wouldn’t let the power fall into someone else’s hands just because they were older.
His brother was meant to be alpha but after he had been killed about 5 years, the responsibility had fallen into his lap and he would lead his pack, irrespective of his anatomy.
“Where is he?” Ashriel asked cutting to the chase immediately, having no time for idle chat.
“He’s right here Dean spoke up gesturing to the man clad at the foot of the table. Ashriel wondered how he hadn’t noticed him earlier.
“The man had something like a paper bag over his head, preventing his vision. His wrists and ankles also seemed to be chained to the legs of the table. He looked like a total hopeless prisoner.
Good.
Hence the beginning of their meeting, all the while ignoring the beast of the man beneath the table.
Well not fully ignoring. Ashriel couldn’t help but notice the man. He was rather huge. And tan. His complexion contrasting heavily from their pale ones.
And it didn’t help that he was not wearing any clothes apart from his waist. He was even barefoot. After discussing matters concerning their pack and land. The meeting was over, and Ashriel dismissed his councilmen.
And it was then that he noticed that he was feeling what could often be described as excitement.
Because of the mutt tied to the table?”
Most likely.
It had been so long since anything entertaining happened. Besides plotting several ways to destroy Blackclaw and seek his revenge. Life had been pretty boring so to say.
He stepped out from his seat at the head of the table and couldn’t help but notice the man squirming a bit, alternating between lifting his knees slightly and massaging them. Probably in discomfort from the demeaning position.
He must have noticed that he was being watched and knelt straighter allowing his arms to fall back to the side He was obviously in discomfort. Soon Ashriel thought. he’d release him in ten minutes.
The young alpha returned back three hours later. Yes, a tad bit longer than he had intended to but he had to get his thoughts in order first like he was going to do about his prisoner
The Blackclaw alpha had two sons, Kraven and Therion. Both sturdy males who had obviously inherited their father's muscular nature. Kraven had betrayed the heir of the Silver fang pack, Ashriels brother, leaving the tile of alpha to fall into Ashriels lap.
Filled with rage, Ashriel had planned to kill Kraven and avenge his brother. But Kraven died from a terminal disease before that time could come. His father had apparently died of the terminal disease too, making Therion the next in line.
But ashriel was still angry, still is, and he had not gotten his revenge. So, in favor of all who cared. A peace treaty was to be signed between the two packs to willingly hand over Therion to serve as his personal hostage, slave and prisoner
Therefore, leading to what we have in the present. Ashriel watching Therion from the door of the dining room, while the other man squirmed in pain and discomfort. After deciding that he couldn’t just stand there forever, he made his way to his prisoner and removed the paper bag from his face. Therion who had noticed the presence of someone else had been careful to not let it bother him too much but when the presence started inching closer and footsteps could be herd, he couldn’t really help the way his heart rate spiked up. And all of a sudden, the bag was off his face and h could breathe better, oh but the lights were too bright and his eyes skilled to hurt and there was someone in front of him and the man, was well,
small.
Not tiny or childlike but certainly but certainly smaller than him, Therion thought. Almost built like a-
“stand” Ashriels commanding voice broke him out of his thoughts. He lifted his arms in a way to say” chains “
Ashriel lifted a brow to say “so”
When nothing happened for a few seconds, the silver fang alpha turned his back on his prisoner. "okay then, you can rot there”
Therion unbelieving of his ears began to pull helplessly at the chains restricting his arms. Ashriel took about twenty slow steps to the door when he heard a snapping sounds and clattering of chains on the ground.
Bewildered, Ashriel turned and was met with his prisoner, levelling him down with a cool stare. Standing.
And if Ashriel thought he was tall before, seeing him at his full height now, fucking huge was the better description.
The chains had been cut off leaving one end on his wrist and ankles while the other pair on the legs of the table.
Anger fueled inside Ashriel. Did he just free himself with sheer strength alone. He hadn’t expected him to do anything. He hadn’t forgotten the key to unlock the chains and was turning to retrieve it.
He had only said to free himself to frustrate him. But oh well, Ashriel would need to keep a weapon at all times if they ever needed to restrain Therion forcefully.
“I don’t care, search the entire kingdom until you find him”“but Ashriel, you only gave us a vague description, strong hands, really, there are millions of people that fit that description” Deen, his beta told him woefully. But Ashriel wasn’t having it.”I don’t care, I don’t care how you do it, just find him”He was so livid. He remembers how relieved he felt when he woke up before it all came back to him, crashing like an uncontrollable wave.Someone knew. Someone saw and someone had...someone had touched him. He almost wished he could downplay it all and call it bad dream but he wasn’t so naive and he could feel that something had changed, if his rear area could serve any inclination as well. And now that someone was out there roaming freely, with his secret in their back pockets. A secret he had worked so hard to preserve would be thrown into the dust.“Don’t you think you need to calm down, you just came back”“Calm down? Someone came into this house, past the security, past the
Therion supposed he should have expected this. The lack of scent, the small build. How he was able to fool a entire kingdom and another was passed him. Just who was Ashriel? How ironic. Therion could ruin his entire life with this simple piece of information. He could almost laugh. Was the darkness really a good thing again? Not with the sounds Ashriel was making. Therion wanted to see his face. It must look shameful, not wearing a scowl for once.“Alpha please”fuck.Therion has to leave. Therion has to leave now. He was treading very dangerous lands here. But somehow the younger man had gotten hold of his arm and was nuzzling into it.Due to his low inhibitions, he may not be able to pinpoint who he was , but Therion knows by now that hes very good at pretending ,so he frees his arm from the hold.A cry breaks out of Ashriel at that and Therion’s wolf is immediately defensive.Therion does not want this. His wolf, on the other hand, has other plans. That and another part of him.The
Therion had not seen the Alpha for three days straight. He was almost relieved. Almost. But he had not stepped out of his cell since then. Cramped and feeling claustrophobic even though the space wasn’t all that small. He was just too used to it now and a change of scenery would be nice. When the maid came in with his breakfast, he took up the opportunity to ask her. So yes, for this past three days, he had been served in his cell , not grand or anything but infinitely better than eating on the ground with an audience.“Is the Alpha not feeling well?” He had been debating on how best to approach the topic, wondering if he should ask about her day. But he didn’t have time, the alpha’s lap dog, who also went by Sirus wasn’t present at the moment but he never left for too long. The maid glanced at him, chewing on her lip for a second before deciding that he wouldn’t do anything with the truth anyway. “He’s away on a trip” she answered quickly pouring the water, which wasn’t enough by the
Once at home, Therion began to tug uselessly at his bound wrists. The cuffs stinging and causing an uncomfortable itch under his skin. He was sure to bruise after this. It also didn’t help that he was never had breakfast, or dinner no that he thought about it and his stomach growled, begging to be fed.He didn’t know whether to follow Ashriel back to his room or return to the quarters. Just on cue, a lady holding a tray of roasted beef passed, the aroma threatening to kill Therion as his mouth watered at the sight. If Ashriel had noticed this, he made no comment.Ashriel made his way to his room and Therion seemed inclined to followed him, not knowing what else to do. Ashriel felt, rather than saw the other man follow him, even to his room. He said nothing as he disappeared into his walk-in closet with a change of clothes.Therion looked around the room it looked the same way it did yesterday, neat and pristine. Unnecessarily big. Everything seemed to have its own place. He rocked bac
Ashriel had an uneventful night and had an even worse morning. And for some reason, the groans of his prisoner were still ringing in his ears. This caused him immense anger he couldn’t even blink without seeing the man.Oh! he would make him pay.Ashriel turned to the portrait of his brother by the headboard and sighed deeply. He thought about what his brother would do about Therion if he was here and realized that Therion wouldn’t even be here if his brother was.And somehow that just made him angrier.“How is the bed slave? Any good?”Dean was Ashriel second in command and closest companion, former best friend to his brother. They sat at the dining table, having breakfast, like they usually did.The silverfang alpha gave his beta a side long glance popping a piece of toast into his mouth.“He’s not my bed slave”Hmm. That would be a shame”An eyebrow raise. “and why is that?”Dean simply laughed “I’m just saying , you clearly need it, plus he's an alpha, and your slave”okay firstly
All through the walk from the dining to his room, Ashriel had been thinking of where he would keep Therion and how exactly he would exert his revenge. How he would break the man. They eventually made their way to his room. With strength such as that Therion possessed, it would be foolish to keep him in the same room as Ashriel alone. If it came to strength alone, he would easily overpower him in less than a minute. What were they feeding these guys anyway? Ashriel locked the door, removed the key and retrieved another, which he used to remove the chains still attached to Therion's wrists and crouched to do the ones on his ankles. He took his position on the edge of his bed and sat.“strip”Therion was taken back by the order. The alpha had already ticked him off. And asking him to free himself and looking insulted after he had done just that. Moreover, he listened to no one, and his wolf was already screaming at him to dominate. But this. This was just-“What?”“Are you deaf? I said s
