POV Aiden

We transferred Paula to the clinic I had called in Miss Evens for any ideas on what could be happening to her. She arrived within the hour as expected carrying at least a dozen books.

Elijah, Miss Evens and I all sat around the table in the break room.

“Start at the beginning.” Miss Evens said pulling out a pen and a notebook.

“Thea and Amira went swimming at the pond at the end of the creek. They noticed the blood in the water and followed it to find Gavin’s body. When Thea contacted me saying he was dead I didn’t believe her at first. Neither the Luna or I felt anything from him out of the ordinary. Not that I make an effort to feel for him.” I said rolling my eyes.

Miss Evens jotted down her notes before chewing on her pen. “You said you think Gavin was moved to the creek before he was killed?” She asked.

“I couldn’t be sure but there was no blood trail. Distinct drag marks ran from the tree to the creek but there were no signs of blood. Splatter on the bank l
