Five years later

POV Thea

The first few months after Alpha Eric went missing dragged on. The Alpha and Luna search Alpha Donte’s manor a hundred times. Sending scouts to patrol the grounds for over a year but nothing but one family coming back from vacation was ever found. The lycans didn’t return. Eric and them seemed to vanish.

The Alpha and Luna had hope that he was still out there. His connection to the pack had never been severed. So he is alive out there somewhere. Eventually Alpha Aiden blamed himself, believing that Eric chose not to come back because he was so hard on him.

Alpha Aiden has grown cold and distant over the years and Luna Joann has lost her smile. Everyone tells me stories of how happy they were before.

Candice and Brent took me in and raised me as their own. I don’t remember much of what happened, Candice says it’s a trauma response and best if I don’t remember.
