“Red?” My eyes, heart pounding so hard as she wheezed and coughed, crawling away from me. “What are you doing here?”

“I…You…” She stuttered, blinking back her tears. “I just wanted to help.”

“Fuck” I cursed, brushing back my hair. I suddenly felt my back ache as I leaned against the headboard. I was completely naked.

“What happened?”

“I don’t know.” She said, her voice cracking and heart racing so fast. “You came when you were bleeding out and asked me not to say anything,” she explained.

I growled, wanting to get up, but the world tilted to one side, and I fell back to the floor, looking at her.

“You shouldn’t get up. You lost a lot of blood,” she said.

I brushed my hair back, heart pounding hard. There was a long pause before she finally spoke.

“Do you want some water?”

“No,” I said, my voice clipped. How dare she touch me? She could have easily killed me.
