GRIFFIN'S POV

I also know that he had given her something to help him get what he wanted. I watch as she tries to get to her feet, but it is too soon and she collapses; I move quickly, wrapping my arms around her so I can pick her up and put her back onto the bed. She goes to argue, but I beat her to it,

"You are not strong enough to do anything, your highness and if you don't want me to tie you to the bed, then I suggest you get some more rest..."

She seems to tense and a small wave of fear comes off of her at my playful words, telling me that she has had a very bad experience with that. I then mentally slap myself as I remember seeing her tied to various things throughout her memories. I am brought back to Scarlett as she tries to argue.

    SKYLAR Julian made a few phone calls, and it wasn’t long before someone he seemed to know turned up to drive my Berkeley back to the castle while Julian took me back on his bike. It surprised me at how good it felt to be on the bike, at how free it made me feel.
