Tiffany

"Are you insane?" I scream at him.

"No, I'm not insane," Justin refutes, but I can clearly tell there was something wrong with him.

"I don't think so," I roll my eyes and scoff loudly.

"Listen to me, I don't like you either, but we have to feed the rumors about our relationship." Justin continues like a mentally unstable person.

"Why?" I ask in total confusion. If he hates me as much as I hate him, why would he say that to me.

"Let's walk while I explain," Justin says

"I don't want to be seen talking to you," I refuse, folding my hands under my breast. "You should be happy I am even indulging you," Justin sighs

"As everyone knows, I am the guy every girl on campus wants to have sex with," he starts, and I frown. "I plan on getting scouted by the NHL and coach thinks my constant appearance with different girls could affect my chances, he complained about my performance at our match yesterday saying I was too distracted, I spend to much time and girls and parties," Justin explains.

"He is not wrong," I shrug. "I don't see how your sex life is my problem," I tell him.

"If I have a girlfriend, all of his doubts would end, I wouldn't attend parties as much and i wouldn't be distracted by ladies anymore and he may recommend me to one of the best agents in NHL history," Justin adds.

"Ohh, I see... you need me to keep a good reputation, a faithful boyfriend kinda shit, which you're not," I fire.

Justin gritted his teeth. "I don't do relationships. Everyone knows that, but I have sex. What's wrong with having sex?" Justin defends.

"It's about to cost you your chances of getting scouted, and it would make me glad," I roll my eyes and made to walk back into the stadium when Justin pull me back by my shirt collar, making me flinch.

My eyes widen, and my body shiver in fright. "Listen to me," he says, but I can't register his words anymore.

Memories lit up my brain like hot flames.

I blink repeatedly as my heart race doubles. "Are you okay?" I think I hear Justin say, but my head was spinning.

I snap out of it quickly. "Don't you ever pull me like that again!" I yell at him and quickly walk back into the stadium.

I need to get this over with and get out of here.

-

I stare at my notes while running my hands through my hair repeatedly.

I am currently at the campus library trying to write a perfect article on the information I received from the interview yesterday.

I need it to be perfect before presenting it to Mrs. Willoww, because there was no way I am letting Larry get on this week's front page.

Judging my everything they said, it all centered around Justin. He had the most impact during the last game.

He completely changed the odds during the last period and gave ravens their win again, unfortunately.

My mind wonders about what happened yesterday with Justin, and I press my palms together.

I thought I was better. It's been years, so why do I still react like that when someone pulls me? And of all people to see me like that it had to be Justin.

"I knew you would be here," Justin takes a seat in front of me, and I frown. "Morning to you too," he says.

"How did you find me?" I whisper because we were in the library.

"I've known you since high school. You basically live in the library, Sherlock," Justin replied.

How did he know that?

"Get out," I tell him.

"Chill, I just need to speak with you, I won’t take much of your time," Justin replies. "Are you okay? You looked weird yesterday," he asks, and I take in a deep breath.

"Non of your concern, get out," I glare.

"Listen, if you date me and I would give you every information about ice hockey, things that will keep you on the front page every week, Larry wouldn't stand a chance" Justin say quickly.

"I don't need your help," I fire.

"You know the only way to get on the front page is by writing on ice hockey even though you hate it for reasons only known to you," Justin shrugs.

"You guys are violent. That's why I hate it," I reply.

"It's a sport, that's how we play, it's nothing special, you just think you're better than everyone and other people are trash," Justin tells me.

"That's not true," I retort.

"Forget it, I can keep you at the front page of the campus news till you graduate and all you have to do is fake date me till I get an agent," Justin speaks like it's the most easiest thing in the world.

"I want nothing to do with you," I tell him.

"And you think I want to be around you? Absolutely not, but this is the best opportunity I have, if couch believes our charade then I am set, we would break up after a couple of months and that's it," Justin says and I fall quiet.

The mere thought of helping him doesn't sit well with me, but if he can help me make the front page, then it's a fair trade.

It's not like I am actually going to date him. The entire campus already believes we are in a relationship anyway, so we just have to not deny it.

"Why are you thinking so much? This benefits both of us," Justin pressures.

"You can ask any girl to fake date you, why me?" I ask.

"Because everyone already thinks we are dating, and coach doesn't seem to mind," Justin replies.

"Fine, but ignore me when you can and no unnecessary phone calls or texts, no kissing, no holding hands, no touching in general," I inform.

"How are we supposed to convince everyone we are dating then?" Justin asks.

"I don't know, I don't care," I tell him.

My phone ping, and I pick it up. "Shit," I mutter and pick up my bag.

"Where are we off too?" He asks.

"We? There's no we." I tell him. "I have to clean the gym before it opens by 9," I reply.

"I am also going to the gym," Justin smiles and helps me put my books in my bag.

He takes the bag from me. "Let me help with that too,"

"I don't need your help," I pull the bag from him, but he holds on it, and I frown.

"Don't be sour candy, it's normal courtesy to help my girlfriend take her bag," he smirks at me, and I shiver in disgust.

I would never get used to this. I let go of my bag and walk towards the library exist with Justin trailing behind.

I can't believe I am fake dating the guy I can't stand the most.

Justin I tried to help Tiffany clean the gym, but she didn’t let me.She told me to sit and wait for her to finish if I wasn't going to leave her alone, and now I am just sitting on one of the stools looking at her clean."Are you sure you don't want my help, babe?" I tease, and she shot a glare at me."Don't call me babe when we are alone. It gives me the ick, " she says, and I smirked.Still as feisty as ever. It's a miracle she agreed to date me, I was ready to pressure her for weeks, but I'm surprised she agreed so fast.I guess she really wants to make the front page. This makes me wonder why she hates hockey so much. Maybe she hates it because of me. She has always hated me like it's a full-time job.I stare at her and notice she looks tired, so early in the morning.I hear she works many jobs, I wonder how many and why? For money, obviously, but I don't really see her as someone who is lacking.Maybe it's just me."We need to talk about your no touching rule," I say, and she

TiffanyI can't believe this is happening right now. What secret relationship? I am going to murder Larry for this!Murmurs erupt in the hall, but I ignore all of them and return Ava's phone back to her. "I need to get out of here," I tell her and get up from my seat.I turn towards Justin and glare at him hard. This is all his fault. He had to trap me to the wall of a the fucking hallway. He doesn't look bother about the rumor, and it disgusts me to no end. It was also confusing.I know he hates me too for reasons only known to him, and I really do not care, so why isn't he bothered?"Yoo, I didn’t know you were dating," Aaron says to Justin, but Justin ignores him.I pick up my bag and walk towards the door, all eyes follow my steps."I thought she hated Justin,""It was all an act, I knew it,""Justin is too good for her,""I heard she hates hockey. Tiffany I hate this.I hate what I am about to do.Why do I have to talk with Justin of all people.I take a deep breath, "I would just inform him his coach wants him back in the game," I tell myself.I thought the game was over, I should have done my research on hockey."Justin Harris!" I yell behind him, but he don't turn. "Justin!" I yell again, and he pauses."Why are you following me?" He turns around to look at me."Your coach wants you back before the game starts," I pass on the information."I'm not playing the game anymore. Go tell him that," Justin says and turns around."I knew you were an asshole but I didn't know you were a coward too," I scoff, and he turns sharply to look at me."I'm not a fucking coward, Sherlock," He yells.I hate it when he calls me Sherlock. Just because my surname is Holmes doesn't mean my first name is Sherlock."Then why are you running away when you face defeat? That sounds like a coward to me," I roll my eyes, and he stomps towards me angrily.

  • The Rumor Game   Chapter 1: Unfortunate School Day

Tiffany"I don't care if you have a problem with hockey Holmes, it's the hot shot right now and that's the only thing that can get you on the front page of the campus news," Mrs. Willow tells me."You haven’t even read my articles yet," I defend."I don't need to read it to know it's not what we are looking for. It's the front page of Ravens College news. Science competition articles won't get you there," she shrugs. " a little tip, The Ravens are playing against their biggest rivals today by 5pm, attend the game and at least get an interview with the players, I would speak to the coach for you, extra chances if you get to talk to Justin Harris," Mrs Willow advices me before leaving me in the lecture hall.I sighed in frustration as I went back to my seat to take my bag and stomped out of the hall. It's like everything is about ice hockey these days, what about other things, hockey is not the only thing good about this College and the mere thought of having an interview with Justin ma
