Chapter 43

The sun had gone low in the sky when Alexander arrived Samantha's Aunt place. He bowed his head and rested it on the steering wheel. He appears to those who past him that he was muttering some words.

After some minutes of staying in his car, he came out and walked towards Samantha's Aunt's house. He took a moment to gather himself before knocking on the weathered door. The door creaked open, revealing Samantha's Aunt, a familiar face.

"Alexander! You? What brings you here today?" Samantha's Aunt asked him with a warm smile, though curiosity was in her eyes.

Alexander returned the greeting, trying to hide the urgency that had driven him to her doorstep. "I was in the neighborhood, and I thought I'd drop by to catch up. How have you been?"
