Bonnie

I tried hard to hide my smile as Enzo stormed out of the room, leaving me and Athena alone.

Her continuous begging, her pale face, and the tears spilling down her cheeks were the most satisfying sight I had witnessed in three agonizing years.

Once Enzo turned the corner of the corridor, I stepped smoothly in front of Athena, blocking her path.

“Stop,” I commanded her as it seemed like she was going to run after Enzo and beg him more.

She instantly halted, and I closed the door to block o

AthenaHeavy, stunned silence descended in the medical room.Holly gestured to the papers she gave to Enzo. “It’s all there, Alpha. I ran a full panel on Damon’s blood work.”Enzo’s dark brows pulled together as he opened the file. I resisted the urge to smile when I saw the look of pure dread on Bonnie’s face.“And what were the findings?” Enzo asked as he looked through the file.“Damon had traces of Lustbane in his system,” Holly said, her voice hard as iron. “There was enough to trigger a heat wave, enough to make him illogical.” Her eyes snapped to Bonnie. “If it was Athena who drank the glass, it would’ve been worse.”The room seemed to drop ten degrees.“Lustbane?” Enzo repeated, his voice low and tense. “That’s a black-market herb. It’s banned, and it hasn’t been seen in pack territory for years.”“Interesting,” Damon spat from his hospital bed, leaning forward, his eyes gleaming. “From what I’ve heard, it’s only used by rogues these days to forcibly breed or trigger territory

AthenaDamon shifted against his pillows, clearing his throat as he sat up in the hospital bed.“Very well, brother,” Damon said, shooting a sharp look at Enzo. “I had been drinking all night down at the bar, and nothing was bothering me. I hold my liquor far better than Enzo.”Martha crossed her arms tightly over her royal velvet gown. “Then why are you here now?”“Because I wasn’t drunk!” Damon snapped back, a flash of dark annoyance flaring in his eyes. “I saw Bonnie talking to Athena and thought she was making trouble. She was handing her a drink, and I snatched it out of her hand. I downed it. Within seconds, I started feeling burning hot. Within five minutes, my mind was foggy and my wolf was surging into heat in the middle of a crowded room. I asked a maid to help me to a quiet guest room so I could lock myself in until it passed.”He paused, turning his head to lock his gaze on Bonnie. A bitter, dangerous smirk touched his lips.“I was drugged, clearly by something meant for A

AthenaI stood motionless in the center of my bedroom, staring at the closed door.Could it be? Could my best friend really be shutting me out? The thought brought tears to my eyes. But then there was a familiar tug from the link I shared with Holly.‘Athena?’ Holly’s voice suddenly broke through. ‘Athena, can you hear me?’Relief flooded through my veins so fast my knees almost buckled.‘Holly!’ I called back mentally, keeping my voice firm despite the ache in my chest. ‘Thank Goddess. They locked me in my room. Someone framed me.’‘I know,’ Holly said, her tone laced with sharp fury. ‘Athena, listen to me. The pack is upside down. There are rumors—’‘I know about the rumors,’ I interrupted softly, staring down at Jane’s folded note on the small coffee table. ‘Jane brought me a message. Holly, you have to believe me. I didn’t do this. I was framed.’‘Of course you were framed, you poor thing!’ Holly snapped instantly, her voice cutting through the mental link like a blade. ‘Do you th

AthenaI couldn’t believe that I was in this situation. At my own Luna Ceremony, someone, likely Bonnie, framed me to look like I was sleeping with Damon, and now I was tied, gagged and thrown into my room. Once I was inside my room, they removed the gag. Despite my tears, I was fuming.“Release me now!” I ordered the guards, and one of them had the audacity to be looking at me judgmental. “The alpha’s orders were clear, Lu—,” he paused, as if I wasn’t worth the title anymore. “Miss Athena,” he spat instead. They stepped back, keeping their weapons drawn until they reached the threshold of the door. “At least untie me! Where can I possibly go?” I threw my bound hands up in frustration, but none of them budged. I huffed, standing from my bed. “I swear to the moon goddess if one of you doesn't untie me now, I will use this very thing binding my hands to strangle you both,” I hissed and they knew I was serious.Only then did one of them reach out, roughly untying the wri

BonnieI was in the best mood as I continued enjoying the party. Every now and then, I would look for Enzo. Now, he was holding a fresh glass of champagne, and holding steady conversation with a gentle expression. But I knew him better than anyone. I could see the subtle tightness in his jaw and the rigid posture he forced as he nodded along to an old elder’s story. He was completely miserable. Broken, angry, and drowning in betrayal.‘Good,’ I thought, taking a slow sip of the sparkling wine. ‘Let him hurt. The deeper the wound, the easier it will be to step in and heal it.’“Bonnie,” a voice called, and I turned to see Martha. She looked radiant in her royal velvet gown, but her sharp eyes were darting around the upper level with growing impatience.“Have you seen Athena?” Martha asked as her eyes darted around. “Enzo has been down there entertaining the guests by himself for twenty minutes. It looks completely improper for his Luna to vanish in the middle of her own reception.”I l

How dare she outshine me? My dress was far more beautiful. But it didn’t matter. I won.“Enjoying your little parade, Athena?” I purred, taking a step closer and tilting my head with a triumphant smile. “Look at you. Wearing a ruined dress, covered in sweat
