Chapter 101- Fading into Nothingness

“Well, that went well…” Freddy spoke on their way back to his apartment. He was behind the wheels. His intention was to diffuse the air and break the silence that had long been drawn since they left the Villa.

Francine sighed, “Right…. Anyway, I am sorry you had to witness all of that.” She spoke quietly.

“Drama can’t be avoided when it comes to families. I think the good part is that we have your grandfather’s blessing from now on.” Freddy said, trying to cheer her up.

Francine gave a nod, “True. I still can’t decipher what made him change his mind.” She expressed her suspicions.

“No need worrying about that anymore. Should we get dinner?” He asked with the aim of stirring her thoughts away from her suspicions.

“Yes… Pleeeasse… I am starving right now.” She agreed. Her stomach growled ferociously at that moment, making the both of them laugh out loud in the car.
