Chapter 5. Escape
Jade’s POV
“Nine hundred million one...
Nine hundred million two...
Nine hundred million three.” The man on the podium counted.
With a bang of a hammer, “Sold for Nine Hundred Million.” He completed the auction.
“Today’s auction is complete. Please collect your orders from the back of the stage after making your respective payments. See you guys next week at the same time. Thank you so much.”
I was dragged by a bald man. He was way too built for his height. He ended up under my ear, but his grip was tight. He made me hiss at his touch as he winked.
“You are hot!” He ran a hand through my back.
My eyes widened in shock. That was disgusting. I had never had a man touch me so nastily.
“It’s bad to see you going so soon.” He stuck his tongue out.
I wish I could pull his tongue and roll it around his neck. I was helpless, though. I had to endure his filthy touch all the way to the back of the stage. The two women who escorted me till here flashed a happy grin as though I were their best friend, who won a commendable award.
“I knew it, honeybee.” The fat one clapped her hands. “No girl made us so much profit.”
“And who bought her here?” I tightened my fingers into a ball. So this is the man who brought me here to this hellish place.
“Yeah, whatever.” The fat woman said that and took my custody.
She took me to the rear of the factory with a shutter that was unbolted. All the men, sexy to bald and old, I have seen sitting in the hall, were gathered there.
Silence engulfed the environment when I reached there. All men turned to me, lust clouding their visions. Some of them winked at me and some licked their lips, feeling regret for not being able to purchase a product like me.
This made me sympathize with poor pets in those fancy pet shops located on the side of busy streets. They must feel this way. I lowered my gaze as tears weakened my determination. I was suddenly shaking. To top my fright, my owner graced the area with his terrorizing personality.
But hell, No. I won’t give in. I won’t let any nasty man touch even a single strand of my hair.
He was man so tall that I ended just under his shoulder. His build was powerful. My nails bit into my palms as I tried not to look freaked out yet excited at the same time. He was grotesque.
“Hey, darling.” His hand went around me.
I shut my eyes tight as he lowered his head. “You are beautiful. I never bought a woman so sexy.” He said it quietly.
My choppers ground together. What the hell were they seeing in me so charming that they couldn’t hold back the urge to describe me like that? This was the fourth compliment so far. Trust me, it feels like I am candy; they all want to suck.
There’s not much difference, even in my human form, is there? The truth is that they all view me as candy only.
“Open your eyes and look at your master, darling. Look at your owner.” He lifted my face with his finger going under my chin.
With a swig of the lump I had in my throat, I slowly undid the shutters of my eyes. He was menacing. Every inch of this man alarmed me. He put my sixth sense on alert.
“H-hi,” His large hand ran across my cheek as I hushed.
His eyebrows went under his foreshadowing hair. He smirked amusingly and replied, “Wow. You are a legit thing to own.”
His hand went around my waist, causing my heart to hammer in my chest. I didn’t falter in my gaze, though. I kept staring at him while I formed my lips.
“Can you take me out of this place, master? I don’t like being stared at like a public monument.” He scanned me critically and beamed in surprise.
I have been different since. They may not have seen a girl so approachable and cooperative. All of them had their eyes on me.
I wasn’t throwing tantrums or using my hands or legs. My face was set properly, and the make-up was not melting away either. My eyes were melting, but the tears never gushed out. I might look exotic to them. Exotic that excites men.
“I regret not bidding further. She’s heavenly.” I heard a man on my left. Someone whose voice was frequently echoing in the hall. He was an active bidder.
A bunch of men even expressed their regrets to each other for having me slip out of their clutch. They could enjoy me every bit if only they didn’t stop quoting. They all desired me.
“Why not, darling? I’ll take you out of here.” My buyer said this and snapped his fingers.
Much to my shock, a team of three hulk-like bodyguards jumped out of nowhere. They had guns tucked at the sides of their waists. They surrounded us from the front as my so-called owner led me further into the protection of his guards.
“By the way,” he gave me a look he assumed was tempting. “You can call me Matteo.”
Matteo... So his name is Matteo. He is undoubtedly handsome, but I hate men like him. Who trade girls and spend millions of dollars for someone’s virginity are no men. They are beasts. And I will teach this beast a good lesson before I make my escape.
Not to mention that the plan is already in my head.
His hand held me tight to his side as we crossed the place, those men staring at my body hungrily. We were in the parking lot. We stopped there while Matteo's, one of the guards, went to get the car.
“Hop in, sweet heart.” Matteo said.
I nervously sucked a breath and scanned the three guards. One had taken the driver’s seat, and the other two strode away to another black BMW.
“What makes my possession take so long?” Matteo breathed near my neck, and I jolted away.
I stepped up and deliberately collapsed at his feet.
“Ouch!!!” I let out a strong cry, clutching my feet as he kneeled down.
“Are you ok?” Before he finished his query, I reached further down to my foot and grabbed out a stiletto.
I smacked it hard in his face and got up before the guards had any chance to seize me in the spot.
“CATCH HERRRR!” Matteo bellowed on my back.
“Catch that damned bitch.”
I could sense heavy men behind me. However, I had no guts to look at my back. I ran crazily like a roadrunner. I forgot I was wearing an uncomfortable dress that revealed my legs until the upper thighs. Even so, I ran and ran. It didn’t matter. I just continued running even though I was out of breath.
There were constant prayers going on in my head as I prayed to God to help me.
“Ahh,” Just by an inch, a hand failed to catch my hair.
I may be trapped. I am not helpless. I know how to find my way out.
Crying over spilled milk is not in my nature. My father might have decided my fate by selling me away, but I will choose its course and how I want to live my life. And I want it to be full of freedom.
I won’t leave. Not to anyone. Not to any difficult situation. I will persist. I will fight.
I took a left turn as there was no path ahead, and *thud* I bumped into someone.
“Hey, hey, are you okay, young lady?” Two sturdy arms grabbed me by the elbow, preventing my fall.
I could hear those men behind me. Their thudding steps caused me to bite back a sob.
“Eh?” I didn’t care to look up who the man was and instead snaked my arms around his waist. He was surprised; there were no doubts about that.
My eyes burned, and my mouth was dry. My throat was bitter with bile as I tried not to give away how fucking scared I was. But I couldn’t manage it, though. I was trembling like a metal sheet under a rough windstorm.
“H-help, th-they want to h-hurt me.”

134. HEA: The Savage Alpha claimed his Rebel Last Chapter Jade's POV Inching his face up, he bruised my collarbone with a red bite as his devilish eyes dared me to moan. Bloody Asshole Alpha. He was challenging me. I wouldn't mind doing it, but I was afraid he would really open the door. Zach could do it. He's done many things he said before and I was not stupid that I would try it just to see how it would really end up if I moaned. I gripped my mouth tighter as I was close. Breathing hard, I whimpered. Zach glared at me again as he gestured to me to not do that either. Bloody control freak. He curled his fingers deeper as something quivered in my gut and exploded. "Nice control, Jade Salvay. I didn't expect you to..." He kneaded my breasts and spanked them. "Hold it so long!" He then lowered his mouth to clean my pussy off the evidence of my strong orgasm while I rested back on the seat like a beaten up pup. When Zach was done, he put my panties in place and patted my cli
133. They're married Jade's POV"I do." The happiness in my voice echoed in the room as I answered the priest's question. He then turned to Zach and asked the same question to him, "Alpha Zach Salvay, do you take Jade Thornton to be your wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part?" "I do... With all my heart." Warmth spiraled within me when he announced that in a loud and clear voice that echoed off the walls. Then we exchanged the rings. When Zach slipped the ring onto my finger, my mouth parted in amazement. It twinkled on my finger like a star in the sky. Zach lifted my hand and kissed it. The glint in his eyes and the hoots increasing behind us indicated that we were pronounced as husband and wife, and it was time that Zach should kiss his bride. He held my waist possessively, and as I was looking at him, he pulled me closer and put his lips on
132. Misunderstanding cleared Zach's POV When I stirred to consciousness, a pang of pain shot through my chest. I hissed and remained still until the pain reduced. Sucking in a deep gulp of oxygen, I tried to get up. Surprise held me immobile as my nostrils flared with Jade's alluring scent and my eyes stalled on her beautiful face. She was sleeping soundly with her head resting on her hand that was put on the edge of the bed I was spread over. I blinked my eyes and moved my aching shoulder. The electrocuting pain confirmed that I was not dreaming. Jade was as real as the pain from the bullet punctures in my chest. Although in other cases, after waking up I went after the people who harmed me. In this case, I didn't care who was behind it or for what reason they had to shoot me. I had Jade here sitting on a stool, in a very fucking uncomfortable position, right by my side. Having her here beside me is all I would ever ask for. And if such attacks are able to bring her closer to m
131. Mom will never go again Jade's POV"Zach!!!" I ran to him as he collapsed on his back. Redness soaked his black t-shirt and three visible bullet wounds pooled like little ponds with overflowing blood. His father growled like a mad beast and jumped out of the car. Curses spilled from his mouth as he shifted into a werewolf, so big and tall that my eyes widened in fright, and ran after the speeding up van. "Zach," His name resounded dreadful on my lips as I sat next to him. Seeing his oozing blood, I began to hyperventilate. A raw and primitive grief overwhelmed me. My fingers shook as I held his face. It was cold... Like the face of a dead corpse would feel. He spurted blood out of his mouth and a haywire occurred in my system. Even then there was a smirk on his face. "You still care for me, Jade." The corners of his mouth quivered before he passed out on a gasp. I felt my heart plummeting in my stomach. I screamed as loudly as I could and within minutes the school's staff
130. Jade knows the truth Jade's POV My eyes lingered on the date carved on the headstone. The date of her death. It was the same when I concluded that Zach cheated on me and decided to take the matters of my mother's death's revenge in my own hands.I can't forget that date. It's etched in my mind.I blinked my eyes and averted my eyes towards Alpha Zavier's face, "This is... Gianna... She is dead? But Zach... His mate. And Lelah," My mind was blacking out. I rubbed a trembling hand on my face, "Lelah is not his daughter?" A painful smile danced on his shaking lips. He slowly shook his head left and right, "Lelah is Gianna and her husband Richie's daughter. He's resting over there." I fearfully followed the direction of his pointing finger. My breathing fractured as I laid my eyes on the grave next to Gianna's. The headstone has the name, Richard Donovan, and the epitaph below it read: An obedient son, loving husband, a devoted father. "Gianna already had a family before she me
129. Meeting Gianna I didn't sleep the whole night for two reasons. One I didn't want to get into that bed again. I was afraid Zach might sneak into my room to touch me. Second because my stomach was growling and I didn't have the guts to go out and grab some food from the kitchen. It's not like I was not offered any food. Zach came in with a trolley full of food I would have loved to dig in. Then Katie too came to visit me followed by Jenna. Chris and Vicky didn't stay behind in the line as they came to see me with chocolates and junk food that I politely refused as I asked some privacy of my own. While they were happy to see me, I was not even one bit happy about any of this. I sat by the window doing nothing but stare at the dark sky. Although I think I saw Zach smoke back to back cigarettes while he was standing out in the open and discussing something with his father, he could die for all I cared. It was his lungs and if he wanted to spoil them by puffing ten cigarettes in one
128. Jade wants to leave?! Jade's POV I didn't know when I fell asleep. But when I woke up again, I had Zach lying next to me and his fingers playing with my hair. I flinched away from him and got out of the bed. "What are you doing here?" My gaze fell on the sky outside the window. "I was waiting for you to wake up. You didn't come to lunch, dad. It's dinner time now." It was pitch black. I didn't realize I didn't wake up for hours. Zade wasn't in the room either. Panic began to rise up within me for not having him around. "He's with Lelah in their room." Zach said. Their room? As if he read my thoughts, he got up and closed the gap between and added, "They've decided to share a room together and Nathan modified it within a few hours as per their requirements." I moved a few steps away so he couldn't lay his hands on me. Sweeping a gaze around the room, I realized the clothes were gone too. "I took care of your closet." Zach walked towards it and slid the door aside
127. Zade's time in the mansion Jade's POV"Welcome back to your room again, Jade." Ice spread through me as I gawked at the interior of the room that used to be mine when I lived here.It was in the same condition. Nothing changed. From the hangings I used to decorate the room to the curtains of my choice, they were still intact."You must be surprised seeing everything as it is." He removed the curtains from the huge window. "Zach never let anyone change anything in your room. He would clean it with his own hands except for today." I preferred to stay quiet and took baby steps towards the bed. The first thing I reminisced while looking at it was our time we spent naked in bed. Seeing the white sheets lay clean and tidy on the mattress made my heart swirl. I quickly averted my gaze and tried to cover those thoughts with something else. "I would like to be alone please." I didn't even try to look at Nathan. "Please, bring Zade back to me whenever Luke is done examining him.""Alrig
