I walked downstairs to my boutique with a mug of coffee in my hand and a book which I'm currently reading. It was still raining outside making a puddle of water in different places on the street.

I sat down in front of my counter and took a sip of my coffee. "Um, heavenly." I said and put the mug on the counter in front of me as I opened my book and started to read. I was reading a criminal novel. I only read three genres and that is romantic, criminal and fantasy.

I turned the page around and started to read.

A little boy running through the Streets of the city, drenched in sweat as he heavily inhales in and out. He craved to hide somewhere but he was too unknown with this world.

He ran and ran, squeezing through crowds, falling down on the ground and ended up having scratches on his knees and palms but he didn't stop because he was scared. He was scared of him. He was scared that he might catch him and do worse but he paused on his steps when he saw a small house in the corner of the street and without looking back he ran towards the house. His small heart was thundering inside his delicate chest that even he could hear his heartbeat rushing through his ears.

He banged on the door for hel-

"Ahhh." I flinched and almost fell back with the chair when I heard a harsh knock on my boutique's door. I frowned and gazed at the door intently until I heard the knock again.

I picked up the book from the floor which just fell off my hand a few seconds ago and put it on the counter as I walked towards the door with timid steps. The knock was desperate and I wonder who it was in this heavy rain.

I slowly unlocked the door and opened it and the next thing I knew that I was pushed back when a little boy drenched in water entered the boutique and immediately closed the door. He desperately tried to reach for the lock but his fingers barely could touch the lock.

He snapped his head towards me and grabbed my skirt in his tiny hand as he shook me and pointed towards the lock. He was telling me to lock the door. I looked at him for a good five seconds before locking the door.

He let me go and rushed his eyes through my boutique until he grabbed my hands and shook me once again. He looked up at me with his black orbs wrenched in tears and my heart softened.

He can't speak.

He pointed towards the door and joined his hands together in front of me, begging me.

Begging me for what?

My eyes widened when I heard some manly voice coming from outside the boutique. "FIND HIM." a man yelled, it almost  felt like he roared. I flinched at the sudden outburst and looked at the boy as he looked up at me with tears falling down from his eyes.

I grabbed his hand and immediately removed the shelf which was in front of the wall. As soon as I removed it I opened the store room door and pushed the boy inside.

"Hide under the clothes." I said and he did as I said. I would have helped him but I have to whip the floor because there was water almost all over the entrance, indicating someone entered.

"Don't not make a noise, no matter what happens." I said and closed the door as I immediately put the shelf in front of the wall. It takes so much strength to move this shelf but today it felt nothing, maybe I was in hypertension.

I flinched and covered my mouth when I heard them banging the door harshly. I immediately grabbed a mop which was inside my counter and started to wipe the floor.

"OPEN THE DAMN DOOR." A man yelled from the other side and with the power he was banging the door if felt like the door would break anytime soon.

I immediately put the mop back into the counter and rushed upstairs.

"COMING." I yelled and harshly stomped my feet on the stairs while  walking downstairs so they could think that I was upstairs.

I walked towards the door and took a deep breath before unlocking the door with my trembling hands but before I could even open the door, the door jerked open, almost slamming on my face. I stumbled back and looked up only to find some men dressed in all black with a napkin tied around their faces as they all were drenched in water.

They barked into the boutique and looked around.

Black clothes, hidden faces and knives in their pockets with some scars on their hands.

Oh my god!

The Scars.

They were behind someone.

It means they were behind this little boy.

Oh, Jesus Christ.

A man standing in between them looked around until his eyes paused on me. I walked backwards as he looked at me from head to toe.

"Oh, what do we have here? A meal?" He rasped harshly and everyone around him started to laugh. I gulped and grabbed my skirt tightly in a fist to stop my trembling hands.

I stood straight and tried my best to not show any emotions.

He walked towards me and before I could take a step back he grabbed my wrist and jerked me towards himself making me whimper in fear.

"Liam."

A rough and husky voice came from behind the man who was holding me, sending shivers down my spine. This is the first time I heard such a hoarse voice.

The man, which I suppose is Liam, let my wrist go and got aside for the person behind him to come into my view. My eyes widened even more when a tall man dressed in all black with a red bandana on his forehead came into my view. He was also wearing a napkin around his face like everyone out here but he radiated the energy of a leader.

I gulped and stepped back when he walked towards me and bent down to my face level. His soaking hair was covering his eyes so he pushed them back with the help of his hand making my eyes go even wider when they landed on the scar on his right eye. The scar started from his eyebrow and ended on his upper cheek as if someone tried to damage his eye with a knife.

A scar on the eye?

The scar face.

I was indeed right. He is their leader.

"Where is that little boy?" He asked.
