"Where is that little boy?" He asked.

He asked while looking directly in my hazel orbs with his black ones. Sweat drops started to travel down my forehead in such cold weather due to fear. This wasn't the first time I'm seeing them but definitely the first time to end up in such a situation.

"Who?" I asked with a confused expression. I tried my best to act confident because that poor boy has softened my heart and I guess I'm ready to risk it for him.

He looked at me right in the eyes for a good while. It felt like he was trying to read through me. Trying to see my shaking soul within. He looked around at my boutique and then he gestured something to his men and all of a sudden they started to check around my boutique and some of them even went upstairs.

Oh no!!!

"Ah.. what are you guys doing?" I asked and as I was about to go upstairs behind those men 'the scar face' grabbed my wrist and pulled me back into my place.

"You stay here." He rasped on my face, making me tremble. I tried to snatch my wrist away from his hold but he didn't let go. "You can't do that." I yelled right on his face and all his men who were looking around stopped looking and snapped their heads towards our direction in shock.

Oh no!

I wasn't supposed to shout right?

His grip painfully tightened on my wrist and it felt like he'd crush my bones in a split second. His face showed no emotion nor did his eyes. They remained stern and cold but his grip on my wrist was killing me.

"He is not upstairs." Liam said while walking downstairs and other men who were looking through my boutique said the same.

He let my wrist go as soon as they said that. He stood up straight and all of a sudden put his pointed knife under my chin making me squeal but as I tried to pull my face back he put his hand behind my head to keep me in place and dug the tip of his knife under my chin, making me shudder in fear.

"If I ever found that he came here, I'll kill you." He threatened me and pulled his knife away from my chin. He left my head from behind and gestured to his man to leave. He looked around the boutique one last time before his eyes rested on me for a good five seconds until he lashed them away from my figure and left the boutique.

As soon as they left I immediately closed the door and locked it. I ran towards the corner of the boutique and grabbed a couch. I dragged the couch in front of the door and glared at the door for a good five seconds, trying to process whatever happened a few seconds ago.

I immediately shook my head when I remembered about the boy and rushed towards the shelf. Thank God nobody noticed this otherwise I would have been dead by now with my body in a plastic bag, divided into several pieces.

I removed the shelf and opened the door. I looked around and found him still hidden under the clothes. "Hey, you can come out now. They are gone." I said and after some seconds the clothes started shuffling until I saw a little head popping out of the clothes. He looked at me intently and I gestured to him with my hands to come out.

He looked at my hand and then back at my face before standing up and making his way out of the room. I closed the door and dragged the shelf back in front of the wall.

I dusted my hands off and looked at the boy who was staring at the floor covered with mud and water.

I took a deep breath and clapped my hands together before making my way towards him.

"Hey." I said and he turned his head towards me. I decided to give him some dry clothes before actually investigating him so I walked upstairs with him beside me. I walked to my closet and looked for a shirt for his size and almost all of them were really huge for him because I wear baggy clothes but I did have a short shirt.

Oh, here it is.

I took out my trouser which I don't really use and cut it short for him.

He bent his head down as a thank you when I handed him the clothes. I smiled at his politeness and walked out of the room so he could change.

He knocked on the door from inside, telling me that he was done changing. I opened the door and walked inside the room. I grabbed his soaked clothes in my hands and threw it in my laundry bucket. I would have hung them out on the balcony but it was raining.

I looked at the boy and smiled. He looked really cute. Even though I gave him the shortest one I had, it is still baggy for him because he is too weak.

He must be hungry.

"Let's get you some food." I said and walked out of the room as he followed me behind. I walked into my small kitchen and told him to sit on the chair in front of the shelf as I started to prepare some pasta for him.

I put the bowl full of pasta in front of him and looked at him. He gestured me a thank you again with his head and I smiled. He immediately dug into the meal and finished it in no seconds. He seemed really hungry.

I wonder how many days this poor boy was starving?

Why are they behind this poor soul?

I need to find it out.

I walked towards the fridge and grabbed the milk bottle as I poured some milk in the glass and forward him to drink. He gestured a thank you and grabbed the glass from my hand, gulping down the milk.

He is too grateful for kids of his age.

He put the glass on the shelf and whipped away his mouth with the back of his hand. I put the dishes in the sink and he kept looking at me intently.

I walked towards him and sat beside him on the chair.

"You can't speak?" I asked and he shook his head. I pursed my lips in a thin line. "You know sign language?" I asked and he frowned. Um, I guess he's too small to know about sign language or maybe he just doesn't know.

"Um, wait." I said and walked out of the kitchen. I came back with a paper and pen in my hand and forward it in front of him.

"Why are they behind you?" I asked and he looked at the page blankly. He grabbed the pencil and examined it. It felt like he was seeing this pencil for the very first time.

Shoot!

How am I supposed to know about the situation now?
