Forty Nine

When I heard a loud roar of a car stop in front of Terrence’s house, I was stunned. After showering, I put a towel on my head. I looked out the window, pensive, as I saw the many cars parked in Terrence’s driveway. 

Looks like Terrence has another meeting today. 

I let out a small sigh and grabbed my water bottle. 

Today I’m really nervous and need a lot of fluids. 

Mom had warned me to take vitamins or eat the fruit she had brought. But I haven’t touched it at all. 

I was nervous about the news from the letter I sent through Judith the other day. I’ve told myself that everything will be fine. My grandfather loved mom very much and there was no way he could have the heart to refuse a letter from me.
