Chapter Thirty Seven : The Eyes That Saw Everything

Alina’s POV

My hands were trembling. My whole body was trembling.

The man was on the floor, blood seeping slowly through his shirt. The sharp object I had used was lying a few steps away. My breath came in broken gasps, my chest tight like it would stop at any second.

I didn’t know what I had done.

I didn’t know how I found the strength.

All I knew was, I had stabbed him.

My legs shook so hard that I almost fell. I pressed my hands against my mouth to stop the scream that wanted to come out. My eyes blurred with tears, and I couldn’t even see straight.

Then the door opened.

At first, it was just one person, then another, then more. Staff members, workers, people passing by. One by one, they stepped into the office, and the moment their eyes fell on the scene, their voices burst out.

“She stabbed him!”

“Oh my! look at the blood!”

“Call someone! Call the ambulance!”

“She’s cute but not innocent

Chapter Fifty Five: The WarningAlina’s POVThe office smelled the same—ink, paper, coffee—but after everything I had been through, it felt like I was stepping into a new world. My legs were weak, but I forced myself to walk with steady steps. I tried to act normal, like I hadn’t just been dragged into the police station days ago, like I hadn’t cried in Lucien’s arms the whole night.I sat at my desk slowly, touching the surface with shaky fingers. It was almost strange… to be back here. To work again, even if my heart was still carrying too much pain.I tried to breathe and whispered to myself, “You’re fine now. You can do this.”But the peace didn’t last long.I felt her before I saw her. Vanessa. Her heels clicked sharply on the floor, each step cutting through the air like a blade. I looked up and saw her standing in front of me, arms folded, her face stiff with anger.“So,” she said, her voice sweet but poisoned, “after all these days, you finally decided to show up again.”I swa

Chapter Fifty Four: TogetherAlina’s POVI woke up to the sound of birds outside the window. My body still felt weak, but it was nothing compared to the weight inside my chest. The memory of yesterday still burned in my mind—police, Dima, fear, shame. I rubbed my face with shaky hands, trying to breathe. When I opened my eyes, Lucien was sitting on the chair beside my bed. He looked tired, like he had not slept at all, but his eyes never left me.“You didn’t sleep?” I whispered. He shook his head. “I don’t need sleep. I only need to see that you’re safe.”The words broke something inside me. My throat tightened, and my eyes watered. How could he still care for me after everything?I sat up slowly, forcing a small smile. “Lucien… are you going to work today?”“Yes,” he answered, his voice calm. “I have to. But you will stay here. You need rest.”I shook my head quickly. “No… I want to go to work too.”He frowned at me. “You’re not ready. Your body is still weak.”A small laugh escaped

  • The Secetary’s Secret Marriage   The Storm

Chapter Fifty Three: StormLucien’s POVI could not sleep. Her words kept playing in my head, over and over, like a knife turning in my chest. Every detail she told me felt like fire in my blood. Dima with his threats. The ashes. That shameless CEO who dared to use power against her. And then, Adrian. That bastard with his filthy blackmail. But the part that burned me the most… was the kiss. She said it with tears in her eyes, her voice shaking, begging me to understand. But the picture of her lips touching another man’s lips would not leave my mind. The CEO had allowed her forced her to kiss him. My Alina. My woman. The woman I swore to protect.I sat in the darkness of my study, fists clenched so tight my knuckles turned white. My jaw ached from how hard I was grinding my teeth. Every breath came out heavy. Rage boiled inside me, hotter and hotter, until I could no longer sit still. I rose, pacing the room like a caged animal.I slammed my hand against the table. The wood cracked b

Chapter Forty Two : RevealedAlina’s POVI woke up with my eyes burning, tears still drying on my cheeks. My chest hurt as if my heart was being crushed from inside. Lucien sat on the edge of my bed, his hand resting on mine. He had been there the whole night. He looked so tired, yet his eyes never left me.“Alina,” he said softly, almost like a whisper, “I can’t watch you cry like this anymore. Tell me. Please. What happened? Who is doing this to you?”His voice was calm, but I could hear the storm under it. He wanted answers. He deserved them. I bit my lip, fighting the urge to stay silent. My throat ached as if every word would tear me apart.“I…” My voice cracked, and I closed my eyes. “It started with Dima.”The moment I said his name, Lucien’s jaw tightened, but he didn’t speak. His hand pressed mine gently, urging me to go on.“He… he came to the company,” I whispered, my tears blurring everything again. “Where the project was supposed to hold. He found me there. He… he threate

Chapter Fifty One – His Presence in the DarkAlina’s POVThe night felt endless.I had fallen asleep because of the medicine the doctor gave me, but my mind would not rest. My body was heavy, but my dreams were full of shadows. Faces I wanted to forget, voices I never wanted to hear again. In the dream, I was back in that cold room. The police lights flashed against the walls. My hands were cuffed again, cutting into my skin. And then I heard Dima’s laugh, sharp and cruel, echoing everywhere.“You won’t get away, Alina. You’ll never be free.”I tried to run, but I couldn’t move. My legs were like stone. My hands bled from the cuffs, but I pulled and pulled until the pain burned. The voices grew louder. The faces closer. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t escape. And then I screamed. My eyes flew open, my chest rising and falling fast, as if I had been running for hours. The room was dark, but the shadows from the dream followed me here. My throat was tight, and tears ran down my face befo

  • The Secetary’s Secret Marriage   Her Fragile Silence

Chapter Fifty: Her Fragile SilenceLucien’s POVI kept my eyes on her the entire drive home. She sat in silence, her hands folded tightly in her lap, her body trembling like a leaf caught in the wind. Her tears had slowed, but the wet trail on her cheeks spoke louder than words. I wanted to demand answers, to shake the truth from her lips, but the sight of her fragile state silenced me. She had suffered enough tonight. When we reached home, I guided her inside gently, almost afraid she would shatter if I held her too firmly. She looked so small against the vastness of my home, as though the world had swallowed her whole and left nothing but a shell.“Sit,” I said quietly, pointing to the couch. My voice was steady, but inside, every nerve in me burned with the questions I wanted to ask. Why was she in the police station? Why had her ex-husband appeared like a vulture circling its prey? What secrets was she still hiding? But I pushed them down. Not tonight. Not while she was breaking i
