Chapter 5

“You have put the Anderson family to shame!”

Andrew Anderson snapped at Mike, he was Mike's father and did not accept Mike's big scandal.

"No wonder you haven't gotten Riley pregnant, you have a relationship with Jason! You did this to cover up your behavior and what you did was embarrassing for our family!”

Adrew was angry, his breathing was hefty, and his eyes glared at the only child.

His son is foolish now. His company has also been on the verge of collapse, and he doesn't even have a successor.

“Use your brain, Mike! You should have gotten Riley pregnant! Now everyone knows about your scandal, and no woman will want to marry you to become a successor!”

Adrew snapped, compared to his son's treacherous attitude, he even discussed the issue of successors.

"We can adopt him, father."

"Shut up! You have tarnished our family, and your company is ruined. Riley has a great person by his side.”

"How could that be, father? The Lightstar family is a small family, unlike us.”

Adrew looked at Mike sharply, he was annoyed with this child. He picked up the book on the thick table and threw it at Mike's face.

“But Riley is a smart kid, you stupid kid!”

Mike covered himself with both hands, but getting hit by the corner of the book hurt him.

"Sever your relationship with Jason!" said Andrew.

“Father… we love each other….”

“Get out of this house! Just make love to Jason and don't come back!" Andrew was disappointed, he was venting his anger so great that he didn't want to give Jason a chance to enter their house.

Mike was silent, now he thought about his life and Jason's. What should he choose?

Andrew smirked, he felt that his son was adorable.

"This shit doesn't want to go, you don't want your life to be miserable?" Andrew laughed pitifully for his son. "Break up with Jason before I kill you both!"

After the shout, Mike came out of his father's room. At the door is Amber, who is Mike's mother. She looked at Mike with very disappointed eyes.

"I didn't expect you to be like this, Mike. Disappointing.”

Amber entered Andrew's room, she ignored Mike, who was now walking while holding the wall near him.

He was catching his breath quite well, and his eyes were tearing up.

He didn't expect Riley to sue him for divorce, even though he knew Riley loved him very much. He didn't want Riley to leave him, he had his comfort when he was in the household with Riley. Riley could listen to him well and treat him well.

“Why did you divorce me, Riley?”

"We can go about our wedding days as usual."

Mike rubbed his face and then had a darkened, cold expression, he had a hard time letting Riley go, but everything just made it easier for Riley to let go of him.

Elsewhere, Riley and Lucius were sitting together. They were in a five-star restaurant in a tranquil and calm situation.

"Usually, the restaurant will be full of customers at lunchtime."

Riley looked to the right yesterday, she was waiting for another customer to show up, but she didn't find it.

Several maids came to them with trolleys filled with iron buckets, ice, and wine bottles.

“I booked this restaurant to have lunch with you.”

Pyuss!

With the sound of a wine bottle opening, Riley looked at Lucius in surprise, her lips parted slightly and then all she heard was the sound of a drink being poured.

“I booked this place to have lunch with you.”

Riley gulped and her eyes blinked, she looked at Lucius with regained consciousness.

“My money will run out because of this.”

"I paid for it, you have lunch with me. That's enough."

“Lucius, you are overdoing everything for me.”

Riley was worried about Lucius, they had only seen each other for no more than a week, and there was a lot Lucius had done for her.

“Nothing is too much for you, Riley.” Lucius held his wine glass, the maids backed away slightly, they kept their distance and prepared if Riley or Lucius needed anything.

"You're so weird, Lucius."

Lucius only replied to Riley's words with a smile as he took a sip of the wine in his hand.

The one who doesn't realize anything here is only Riley. Whatever Lucius did for Riley is not enough for what Riley had done to him.

He very well remembered Riley's beautiful hazelnut eyes that he had seen in the moonlight at that time. The moonlight reflected from her eyes, making them seem alive and attractive.

“Riley, when will you remember me?” Lucius asked in his heart.

Riley took a sip of her wine, she moved her head because she liked the taste of the wine poured into her glass.

"The year 1886, a beautiful and meaningful number." Lucius immediately said those words, he was doing something to Riley's memory.

Riley's brow furrowed slightly, but a second later, it looked normal. She enjoyed the wine that did have good taste.

Disappointed, that's what Lucius is going through.

Riley put down her wine glass and looked at Lucius as the servers prepared to deliver their lunch.

"But Lucius, I followed you to thank you, if you treat me like this, it means I haven't thanked you."

Riley looked at her with slightly narrowed eyes, her face tired but still with the beauty that Lucius had always admired.

"So?" asked Lucius casually.

“Yeah, at least I should thank you properly.”

Lucius chuckled as he touched his lips and cheeks, his eyes now deep and enthusiastic.

“You can say that after you send me a thank you instead.”

Riley was silent, what Lucius said was true. But she did it only spontaneously because she felt so happy about the smoothness of this divorce.

“I was thinking of giving you something back then.”

Lucius raised his eyebrows, he looked at Riley and now leaned over.

“What do you want to give me, Riley?”

“Yeah, it can't be something you can't buy. Because you're richer than me."

Riley rubbed the back of her neck, she became awkward himself talking about what she was going to give. She didn't know for fear it didn't suit Lucius. Look at him, he is a man who, from top to bottom, has costly things.

Even a thin silver bracelet wrapped around his left hand is worth two billion, don't know how many outfits he is wearing now.

"I don't know, Lucius. I'm thinking about it." Riley's brow furrowed, Lucius knew that Riley's words were valid. Riley is a woman whose expressions are straightforward to read.

"Make me lunch."

"Ah?"

"Make me provisions for seven times, then I will consider that enough." Lucius crossed his arms, his large, muscle-filled chest traced from his shirt, Riley's eyes fixed.

"L-lunch?"

"Yeah, make me lunch, Riley." A sweet voice that confused Riley. The man in front of her was behaving very strangely.
