Chapter 2

Adhyansh Aneja, 26 years old, is the CEO of Mishra Industries; well, he used to be the manager, but after marrying Adwitiya, his father-in-law made him CEO. I don't want to explain much about his character for now.

Adwitiya Mishra: 20-year-old only daughter of Jayush Mishra, a certified rich spoilt brat.

Tripti A. Aneja: Well, she is the wife of Adhyansh, and I can't explain much about her character because Adhyansh told me not to.

Yuvaan A. Aneja and Yuvika A. Aneja are 4 years old and are twins. Yuvika is the elder one, and Yuvaan is the younger one. They love their mamma and dad very much, okay?

______________

Adwitiya walked inside Mishra Heights to meet with her dad; her concentration was on her phone as she made her way toward the elevator.

She stepped in as the door was about to close, and just then someone put his palm in the middle, stopping it as he walked inside the elevator with her.

"Oh, hi, we'll meet again," Adwitiya heard Adhyansh wishing her. She smiled at him and continued using her phone.

"You here? "Need anything, you could've just called me I--." She cut him off: "You worked in my dad's office; you are not my bodyguard, nor the butler of my house, and I prefer to do my work by myself." She answered, leaning her head back on the wall.

He smirked and leaned closer to her, trapping her in between him and the wall. "What are you doing? Will you move back?" She stuttered a little; his proximity was making her feel uncomfortable.

"There is" He whispered, bringing his face closer to her, "Wha--what?" She asked, trying to read his expression.

"There is a lizard on the wall." He whispered and moved back, making her scared. "What lizard, oh my," she said. She jumped from her place and Adhyansh placed his foot in between, which she didn't notice, and stumbled.

He caught her by her waist, pulling her close to him just as the door of the elevator opened, and Adhyansh smirked in his mind, seeing Jaiyush Mishra standing with his other staff.

"It's fine, calm down, the lizard is gone". He softly whispered, caressing her hair "What is happening here?" Jaiyush asked. His voice was loud and a little harsh. Adwitiya pushed him and stared at her dad. "Dad, there was a lizard in the elevator and then I stumbled on him. It's nothing like that", Adwitiya explained softly..

"Are you okay, princess?" Jaiyush asked his daughter, and his expression softened. "I am totally fine dad, I came here because I need your card; I want to shop," she said, and Jaiyush smiled, taking out his card. He could do anything to make his daughter happy.

"Sure, princess, shop as much as you want." He handed her the card while Adhyansh fisted his palm, controlling himself as some scenarios flashed in front of his eyes.

"Adhyansh, you are going with Adwitiya because I can't let her go alone as it's not safe for her," Jaiyush said, and Adwitiya's eyes widened. "Why, Dad?" I can go alone.

"No Adwitiya. "I can't let you go alone; it's not safe for you because these days I am getting some threats," Jaiyush expressed, as he was tense about his only daughter.

"Sir, I have work," Adhyansh said. "If I am telling you to go, then you have to go to Adhyansh; you can't disobey me," Jaiyush replied, his voice stern.

"Sure, sir," Adhyansh nodded.____________________

Adhyansh looked at her as she shopped for so many expensive clothes, wasting the money without a second thought. How happy she looked while shopping. He hated it, but he had to trail behind her like a tail carrying all her shopping bags.

"Now let's go to the food court. I am so hungry." She said, turning towards him, he nodded and followed her to the food court.

She ordered her favorite paneer pizza, coke, burger, and, not to forget french fries as well. "You want?" She asked, he nodded in agreement, and they waited for her to finish eating so that they could leave.

"I am done," she said, sighing out loud while his eyes widened as he saw that she wasted more than half the food without caring.

"You wasted so much, ma'am." He said, staring at her, and she let out a chuckle, "So what did I pay for it?" She shrugged her shoulders and got up, grabbing her phone and bag.

Flashback end.

"What did you make, huh?" "I told you to make an aloo paratha for me, and you burned it," he yelled, seeing the burnt aloo paratha.

"I don't know how to cook." She answered meekly, and he let out a frustrated sigh. "If you don't know how to cook, then learn about it because you have to cook for me every day."

"Now you've already cooked it, and I won't let it go to waste, so sit down and have it; it's your breakfast." Her eyes widened at his words.

"No, I don't want it. It's burnt." She shook her head in disbelief. "Aww, my baby, it's burnt, but you cooked it, na, and I hate when someone wastes their food, so you will have it okay?" He patted her head.

"Sit down and have it; otherwise, I will forcefully thrust the whole paratha in your mouth." She sat down and tore the little piece of paratha. "Have it fast. I don't have the whole day to waste on you." He slammed his hand on the table, making her jump in fear...

"I am having." She stuttered and started stuffing the paratha in her mouth while tears rolled down her cheeks, making her face red.

She choked and started coughing badly. "Calm down and drink this." He handed her a glass of water.

"This is not your dad's house, Adwitiya, so you can't expect luxuries." He said, caressing her back, and his tone was soft yet dangerous.

She took a deep breath, and he patted her head and said, "Good girl, now go and clean my room." His voice was so soft that it felt like she was saying some loving words to her.

"I want to go to my dad's house." She said, and he raised his left eyebrow, "I think you forgot the rule." He said.

"There is a ritual of paghphera, so I want to complete it," she said softly. "Trying to act smart, huh?" She shook her head in disbelief. "Your dad is leaving for Delhi in the afternoon, so you can't complete these so-called rituals." As he turned to leave, he ordered, "Now go and clean my room."
