TWENTY TWO

The tour ended immediately I set my eyes on a cabinet that held a photo frame of my former self, candles were lit and flowers surrounded it. This was placed in a much private area away from the living room.

I looked at myself for a while as I was building up intense anger, it hurt me so much because I saw no use of this. What were they trying to prove? Huh?

What is all this?! I hollered within me as tears started falling from my eyes, I felt I was been mocked by them because they lack no right to lit a candle for me.

I fell to my knees breaking down in tears, Laura had laid comforting hand on my shoulder thinking that I was crying over my dead friend, I shrugged it off, immediately wiping my tears with my hand.

I was determined to leave until when Laura said, “She was my best friend and I loved her so much”

“Which was why you married her husband?” I blurted rudely, having no control of myself as I added, “I mean, it wasn’t up to a year before you married Carlos, was it?”
