19. Torn between the alpha and beta Aria was not really in her senses when Jake dragged her towards his car and ushered her inside. He put the seat belt around her with a muscle ticking at his jaw. Closing the door quite aggressively, he walked to the other side and was about to sit inside when Kai called, "Where the hell are you going, asshole?" Jake didn't answer. He grimacingly watched him approach while the other followed behind. All their faces held a look that was a mixture of confusion and amusement. "Aria?" Kai looked behind Jake in the window to see Aria shivering in the car. He got worried and eyed his friend. He dragged Jake away as the others joined them with a shocked face. Aria didn't look good and the traces of tears said a story they didn't want to believe was true. 'This fucker didn't do something with her, right?' Neil asked on the mindlink to all of them. 'Hope so, but she doesn't look good.' Dilane answered, his eyes scanning through the window for any bruise
20. Who Made You Cry, Mate? Noah's POVI saw her eyes dilating. She froze in her spot and forgot she was supposed to breathe if she wanted to live, but she was too petrified by my appearance to even blink her eyes. I twisted my lips and coughed a little bit in order to pull her out of her frozen state. It didn't help though. She remained there with her face turning pale due to lack of oxygen. Her heartbeat was falling too."Aria!" I don't know what got into me but I clutched her elbow and pulled her near my chest. "Breathe, Aria. Breathe." I said in a chaste tone that came out throaty and heavy.Fuck... I hate to admit, her frozen state had gotten me badly. I can see some sort of feelings in her crystal blue eyes. They screamed and said she wanted to do something with me. Something that had a meaning and that it needed to be discussed.'You're hurting her, Noah. Let go of her arm.' Oliver, my wolf said and I immediately pulled back my arm.She didn't seem to feel the pain or notice t
21. I'll Make Your Life Hell, Mate. Aria's POV As soon as I stepped into the kitchen, I heaved a sigh of relief. Noah's appearance sucked the life out of me. I really thought he was here to hurt me. The looks on his face are rotating across my vision. He made me feel like those cunning she-wolves who cheat on their mates. I am not like that though. But how do I explain this to Noah? Above all, his attempts at making me look bad in my father's eyes warn me to stay away from him. He is heartbroken?! I don't know, but it really felt like he was worried. A hard punch of mockery lodged itself into my stomach. Exactly who am I trying to fool? There is no one who worries for me. I am just someone people like to trouble. There is hardly any chance that Noah would feel anything for me. Worst of all, he thinks I am Jake's girlfriend. He hates Jake. His hatred toward Jake is shifting towards me as well. How am I going to deal with him at school now that he is back! I picked out the t
22. I Hate You Crowd gathered around the two gangs. To think of it, one was the future alpha and the other his beta-to-be. Aria tightened her grip around the straps of her bag as she observed the number of accomplices each of them had. There were Dilane, Kai, Neil, Zack and Oliver supporting Jake. It was an amusing sight to see them all dressed in black. As if they were following a dress code. Upon milky tee shirts they had sexy black color varsity jackets put on. Towards the left hand side, just above their hearts, the initials of their names were engraved in pure white. Their postures were bordered with exasperation. They were impatient and so ready for a physical collision. One wrong move made by the opponent and they would pound on them. It emitted from their eyes that they wanted to get into a physical fight. Every wolf did. There was a famous saying that said, 'A wolf is only regarded as a wolf if he rips a couple of throats and bathes in blood once in his lifetime.' And eve
23. Enemies put together In the ongoing class, Jake drew random patterns on one of the clean papers of his notebook. Aria's words moved like a whirlwind in his mind. He anticipated anything but that statement coming out of her mouth. "Hey! Where are you lost, bro?" Kai was sitting next to him in the class in the very back. These guys had their permanent places in each of their classes-- that is toward the very end of the room just by the wall. Not that the teachers minded it. As long as the gang of these mischievous guys was quiet, they could sit just about anywhere in the classroom. "Nothing, just thinking about Aria." Jake replied on the mind link. Kai gazed in front of the classroom at Noah, who was in the third seat. He was engrossed in the class. This was the only class that Jake and Noah shared together. But thankfully Kai was here as well, and he was relieved after what transpired on the campus. The guys were minding their own businesses rather than picking up on each oth
24. Chased by the alpha Geography was the only subject that Aria enjoyed even though the teacher was as slow and boring as a snail. Only Ten... At the most, fifteen students out of fifty from her batch attended his lecture. Others abhorred Professor A. Stronghold but Aria loved him. His lecture was the only peaceful lecture that kept her away from awkwardness and fear. In this particular class she felt confident and aware of her potential. The bullies from the school aka Jake's friend did not attend his class for other reasons as well. Because geography here did not mean learning about the world and distribution of boundaries of the countries, various places and their respective environments. The geography in the wolf world was different. Here, the students didn't not learn about the countries. Rather they were made cognizant of packs distributed around the world and their respective culture and traditions. Rather than the climate of the places, the geography in the wolf world taug
25. Your arch enemy is my mate! No one ever talked to him like that. She may have breathed the truth behind his impulsive act from yesterday but she was no one to talk with him like that. "I committed a mistake and I take full responsibility for it. I know I have a history with Noah and I didn't like to see you with him, but don't act as if I am the guilty one here. You are as much at fault as I am. I did like you and I still do which is why I am standing here but your reluctance and sudden closeness with Noah... It was too much to bear." The air around them throbbed in tension. For a fluttering moment, Aria's heart thumped as she reviewed his words. Did he really? A deep look in his eyes and she realized he was not lying. He had stiffness playing along his hard gaze. Aria felt her confidence begin to crumble. She didn't know whether to trust him or shove him away. His gaze suddenly softened and he took her hand, "Look, I know I am wrong here and I will do anything you want me
26. Accident Aria entered the class right in time. The desks were hardly taken over and she could choose her place in the back of the class where no one would notice her. Although she wondered why Jake was not here already given his rushed escape, she pushed him in the distant corner of her mind as she had better things to undertake at the moment. One such thing was a perfect place to sit in this class that was going to turn into an abyss, containing little mischievous devils after a quarter hour. She being the shy type wanted to stay far away from them, hence a far away and comfortable place where she didn't catch anyone's eye was what she wished to find. She was thinking whether to sit in the left corner seat by the wall or in the right, which offered a verdant view of a variety of trees that stood gloriously on the campus ground. Her heart was still at unease and the heavy feeling in her stomach made it difficult to come to a conclusion. Thus, she remained there by the threshold
