39. Fear

Lillian's hand trembled as she held the phone to her ear, her father's words sending a chill down her spine. Rosa, the kind-hearted housekeeper who had been a part of their family for as long as Lillian could remember, was dead. And the circumstances of her death... they mirrored Lillian's terrifying dreams.

"Dad, this... this can't be a coincidence," Lillian said, her voice shaky with fear. "The balcony... it's the same place I dreamt that Katherine... that she..."

"I know, Lillian," her father replied, his voice strained with grief. "I've been trying to wrap my head around it, but I don't know what to think anymore. I'm scared, sweetheart. Scared for you, for Katherine, for myself."

Lillian's heart clenched with a mixture of sorrow and fear. The thought that someone could be targeting their family, picking them off one by one, sent shivers down her spine.
