8. Affection

The evening drew near, and Lilian walked into the room and gathered her pillow settling it at the spot on the floor where she usually slept. Sebastian walked in and saw her, he stood thinking of what to do to Lillian.

"Lilian, wait," he said, his tone commanding as he reached out to gently grasp her arm.

Lilian turned to face him, her heart thumping in her chest in fear of what might happen next, her first instinct was that he was going send her out of the room or abuse her. She gasped frightened by his touch as her brow furrowed in confusion at the unexpected interruption.

"Did I do something wrong, Sebastian?" she stammered, her voice filled with uncertainty.

Sebastian's gaze bore into hers, his expression was unreadable as he spoke. "I think it's time we put an end to this nonsense," he said, his voice low and calm.

Lilian's heart skipped a beat at his words, a sense of confusion settling over her like a dark cloud. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice was calm.
