Luke POV
I decided to walk through the city alone rather than return to pack house. There was no point in running after Kate if her demands of me proving my love to her was leaving Arianna behind. Her mother sacrifices herself too safe me. I weren’t going to abandoned Arianna now for my own desire to be near Kate. Fate had brought me and Arianna together, and if me and Kate were destined to be mates I had to believe that the Moon Goddess would intwine our destinies if not now then later in life. But for now, it seemed as if Kate was destined to be with Lucian and I to stay and protect Arianna. I cared deeply for Arianna, and I was more than willing to dedicate my life to keep her safe from harm, but right now this sucked. I wanted to scream and break something as I felt complete helpless in the situation. I wanted more than anything to just be able to leave everything behind and elope with Kate, but I couldn’t.

It was right then and there that my life change. Luke POV “Luke breath” the words rang through my head and my breathing slowed down as well as my heartbeat.
