It took too long to get a response from Mason. He accepted the letters from the messengers that I sent to his territory, though he wouldn’t let them go past the border.

I don’t blame him for being cautious, but I don’t appreciate my people not being able to gather any details.

And I also don’t appreciate Mason’s lack of response. The first two letters, my people returned empty handed.

The third letter, my people returned with a promise that he would call soon to talk.

The elders were getting antsy and so was I. I expected a phone call within the week, but nothing.
