CHAPTER ONE DANGER

Fika's POV

"Welcome to Metanoia High. " I said as I rotated the digital cam I was carrying around the campus.

This school is shrouded in magic. The human eye cannot see this school. This school was hidden because of the fight of immortals and mortals that took place several thousand years ago that would be replaced by the permanent closure of the tunnel they call.

What they didn't know was that many Immortals were left behind, so this school was made to serve as the home of the Immortals.

You won't know it's a weird school until you get into it.

Many wonders are happening here, just like last year there was a monster with three heads and a giant snake, fortunately no one was hurt.

As soon as I got out of the car, I was immediately greeted by the big golden gate of Metanoia.

We always knew we were not ordinary. We are different from the people we meet. We are strong and age slower compared to them. That's why we grew out of place when it comes to people a.k.a mortals. Until the day came when we entered Metanoia. Everything is completed with us. We no longer have to pretend that we are one with them, because we are all treated equally here.

I swipe my I. D to a board machine where my very nice face appeared. It is the school's policy to know who arrives on time and who is always late.

When I entered the campus, I was greeted by my friends Azure, Yūgen, Hygge, Meraki and Axis. There is no difference in the uniform of boys and girls. We were both wearing a dark blue gown called 'Mist'. It is long up to the ancle. It also has a loose sleeve that covers your entire arm. It has a gold lining. And you'll also notice the school brand on the upper left side of the uniform gown. It says 'Metanoia High' with a torch and blue flame for the logo.

I can say our uniform was very formal and very nice looking. Boys and girls also have proper hair cuts. They do it so that everyone is equal. No bragging about gucci clothes as well as rebonded hair.

I turned my camera around. This is my first 'Campus Tour' so I'm super excited.

I thought not to attend my first class so I can finish my vlog. I also leave my friends because I know they will just ruin my vlog.

I first put my camera in the receiving area of ​​the school. Where you will be entertained when you're transferee. This is also where the visitor is often taken to the private building of the school.

That's why it's only natural for them to beautify it. This is one of my favorite places in school. Every pole I pass is carved adorned with beautiful garden designs. While there was a painting of clouds and blue sky on the ceiling where huge chandeliers hung, candles were used for lighting. The floor shines in super white along with the gold glitters of its design. The expensive -looking chairs with dark blue and gold color designs are also embellished. There is a long red carpet to the counter where everything is taken care of.

On my left side is a room, where every letter that arrives at school is handled. It is connected towards the garden. It is fun to watch as the bridge of the message is the beautiful blue birds called 'Minos'. They are the messengers to different parts of the world.

To my right is the school cafeteria. Outside it can be seen small round tables that are just right for the double person. It also has an umbrella for protection from heat and rain. Inside, you can see gold and brown chairs combined with bright yellow lights to look elegant. At the counter, you can see three women handling the order. There are very few people inside because the food and drink are expensive. It's just one of the well -known cafeteria at the school. So you really won't be hungry when you're here.

I kept walking until I reached the very elegant main stairs of the school it was behind the counter I said earlier. The staircase is made of marble with a touch of gold due to the floor lining. It also has a red carpet in the middle to the top.

When I climbed, I was immediately greeted by a large painting where you can see the whole map of the school, which is beautiful because of its vintage design.

I kept walking until I reached the outside. I am now in the garden. The garden is full of a variety of flowers that you can only find here in Metanoia.

The students smiled at me as I looked around the garden.

I forgot to tell you that there are three classes of students here. First is the Warriors, then the Elites and the highest is in the Top Ten called The Greatest or the Masters. Unfortunately I was only in Elites and only Axis and Hygge were included in The Greatest. The greatest consists of ten strong and intelligent students they are the leaders of the school. They are respectable, and you have severe punishment when you lose respect for them.

I was about to go to my next class when someone spoke from behind me.

"I'm very sorry to say this Ms. Fika West we already said several times 'NO GADGETS' inside the campus. And because of that we will not miss this event."

Calmly with emphasis said by our principal. That the mound was as bright as the sun. He was wearing a dark blue colored polo with a curved top because of his round belly and black pants that even surpassed the skinny jeans to be too tight.

"What?! I'm just doing it to get to know our school world wide, then I'm the one who's wrong? That's unfair!" I shouted.

No choice .. My vlog is ruined.

It takes less than an hour to tour the campus due to its sheer size. Maybe it will take me half a day.

I could do nothing but follow Mr. Principal. My punishment may be increased for being absent from my first class for no good reason.

I just followed sir quietly. until I noticed that we were on our way to the forest. We are here at the very end of the Academy where there are no students around.

Sir walks first so, I can't see the emotion he's carrying. I stopped walking because of the nervousness I was feeling.

Even though my chest was beating so fast, I was able to open my mouth.

"Ahm Sir, where are--" I said trembling.

I never finished what I wanted to say when sir suddenly stopped walking, at the same time as two mysterious men approached on either side of me. They gripped both my arms tightly.

"Sir !! Let me go!! Where are you taking me !!?" I begged, while struggling.

But Sir just stared at me without emotion, at the same time his whole body begin to smoke.

My knee weakened because of the impossible thing I was observing.

His skin is slowly melting. While it was smoking too much. It also has bubbles that seem to boil in extreme heat.

His skin melted and became a green liquid dripping on the ground. When Sir's whole skin melted, it took on a new look. Looks like a guy you wouldn't want to see anymore.

He was wearing a long black dress. It was long up to his feet. Its sleeve is up to his wrist. It's just simple black and unmixed with any design. Thick eyebrows and puffy eyes, black is the color of his eyes that gives creeps all over my body. His nose was small and sharp and his lips curved a smirk.

I didn't realize that tears were dripping from my eyes. At the same time, two men holding my arm were pulling me.

My every step was heavier and heavier and darkness seemed to eat at me every time we entered the forest. Until there was a tunnel. It is made of dead tree branches. Its leaves are thick all around, and there is a small passage in the middle that looks like a tunnel. Sir stopped in front of it. He chant words that i don't understand. Suddenly the tunnel lit up too much. I closed my eyes when i can't handle the brightness. When I opened my eyes I saw sir step into the tunnel and suddenly disappear.

"Help!" I cried weakly, in unison as I struggled.

I struggled even more when they started pulling me closer to the magical tunnel.

Until I was completely consumed by darkness.

Ataraxis POV

We just finished our meeting with The Greatest. I went straight to the girls cubicle and there I arranged the mist I was wearing. As usual, the students inside came out voluntarily to give way for me.

I'm used to this set up and I don't even bother to thank them.

I was in the middle of fixing my hair when I saw a bright light reflecting in the mirror. I followed this light until I could see from the window that it was from the forest at the back of the academy.

I hurriedly opened the door and hurriedly ran.

"Axis!" I heard Hygge call my name. But I didn't hesitate to look back at him because, i have this feeling that something bad happened.

Soon I reached the farthest part of the academy. I first stood at the entrance of the forest and observed the surroundings. Everything is quiet and only the noise of crows makes noise around. Also include the noise from the leaves of the tree dancing because of the strong wind. The surrounding is very dark and heavy.

I observed the surroundings, nothing strange except the chaotic traces from the ground.

I knelt down so that I could get a better look at the trace on the ground.

Traces of shoes from a formal shoes and another trace of shoes from student shoes, which are obviously from a girl because of the part where the tip of the heels formed.

I closed my eyes and tried to feel the surroundings, just in case something entered my mind from what just happened here.

"Ahm Sir, where are--" She said trembling.

She never finished what she wanted to say when the men shes following suddenly stopped walking, at the same time as two mysterious men approached on either side of her. They gripped both of her arms tightly.

"Sir !! Let me go !! Where are you taking me !!?" She begged, while struggling.

I feel my knees weaken accompanied by my fast heart beats, beacuse of what i just saw in my mind. Whenever I try to think what happened from a place the faces were blank in my mind.

I suddenly felt a bang in my chest due to the sudden silence and sudden cessation of the surroundings. The strong wind stopped as well as the crows that used to fly have also stopped. The chirping of birds and the sound of strong winds also disappeared.

I turned my back and I wasn't wrong he was there.. Hygge is there.

And once again he stopped the movement of the surroundings. He has this what we called as time power. He can stop and make the time slow but he can't tamper with things from the future because it's destined.

"What are you doing here?" I asked Hygge, without emotion.

He was leaning against a tree while no emotion looking at me.

"Shouldn't I be the one to ask you that? What are you doing here?" He said as he slowly walked closer to me.

I quickly averted my eyes from him. I knew Hygge he followed me because he also felt what I felt.

"You saw something right?" He asked me anxiously, holding out his hand at the same time to help me stand up.

I quickly took his hand then quickly stood up. But because of how I feel, I'm quickly out of balance. Hygge immediately supported me by holding my waist.

"You're not fine Axis. What did you see?" He asked while holding my waist and looking straight to my eyes.

I took a deep breath before standing up straight and then turned my gaze to the forest.

"I saw a woman asking for help and someone take her here. And I feel differently Hygge this is a powerful dark power, which quickly pulled my strength." I said seriously, while still looking at the forest.

When I looked back at him, he was also looking seriously at the forest.

"Then let's take a look. Let's help that girl whoever and wherever she is." He said. This was followed by the lightening of his eyes and the return of the noise of the birds around, the return of the movement of the trees and the blowing of the strong wind.

Hygge and I looked at each other before we decided to enter the forest. I still remember what the professors here at Metanoia told us, that we should never try to enter this forest because this forest is shrouded by a dark power that no one can destroy.

We were about to step in when we heard a footsteps from behind us which made us turn around.

"Yūgen, Azure, Meraki--? What are you guys doing here?" I asked them. While they were just serious looking at us as if they wanted to say something.

"What's going on? Where's Fika?" Hygge asked worriedly.

Meraki and Azure couldn't speak so Yūgen spoke up.

"Fika is missing." Yūgen said dejectedly as tears welled up in his eyes.

Because of what I heard a spontaneous image entered my mind.

A woman is terrified as the two creatures pull her into a bright tunnel. And that girl is Fika.

Once again I was weaken by fear. Aside from Fika i saw someone with a very dark aura. And he is shrouded with a dark and powerful magic.

"Ataraxis .. We feel it too. We also feel the dark and strong power." Azure said while pointing at the forest. "And we also saw the light coming from the forest." Azure said trembling.

"Let's find Fika. Maybe something bad happened to her axis." Meraki said while tears building up in her eyes.

Hygge and I looked at each other. And we decided to look for Fika in the forest.

"Stay here first. Ataraxis and I will go into the forest to look for Fika. We will return before the sun goes down." Hygge said seriously.
