Pinned to a stake in the ground she was, her head down and her hair blowing in the cold breeze that proved to be heartless. Traces of her in those rags were a punishment to my soul. She was dried up, like my soul by the pain and anguish that corrupted me.

She wasn't alone, many surrounded her, but she was alone. No heat, no security, no blood and no one. At the mercy of loneliness and pain.

Wolves howled, not from their pain, but from dominance.
