I found Lindsay

Lindsay's POV.

I cried so hard that night until I found it hard to breathe. Assuming I and Asher went to court, Leia would have chosen Asher and I wouldn't be able to see her again.

It was pathetic and sad. I stared at the man who slept next to me and I wondered what I ever did to him. He hated me so much, yet he claimed he didn't. Shaun would never do that to me. I was certain he would have cherished me and treated me better than Asher would, but I just had to be so stupid.

It was almost midnight, but I didn't feel sleepy. I slipped down from my bed and walked to the sitting room. It had been tidy. After Asher was satisfied with how much I had begged, he stopped the threats to take Leia from me and all was restored to normal. The staff cleaned the house too.
