Lindsay POV

I almost choked on the water I was drinking when I heard Asher say. “Let's renew our vows"

I had to make it repeat before I realized he was serious. Then I laughed. It was truly funny.

“I don't see what's so funny," he said with a scowl on his face.

“Because it seems like a joke to me honestly"

“We have been married for 7 years, Lindsay. It's only right.."

“Asher, don't start with your pretense that this marriage is okay" I pointed a fork at him angrily. He had to be kidding me. What the fuck did he mean by that. There I was, thinking of a way of eloping with Shaun and Asher just had to ruin the moment.

“We can it work out, can't we?“

"You can't bring back what Is already dead can you?“

He dropped the fork in his hand back on his plate as he stared at me. “Our marriage is not dead," he said firmly. How could he even get angry for what he knew was true?

“A marriage where I am being threatened not to get a divorce. You think I still love you, Asher, you better think again"
