XXIV: Defensive Offenses

After my run, I slipped backed into my bedroom without being noticed at all thankfully. I tired to go to sleep again, but then I would think about everything that was happening and felt like crying.

In other words... I did not get to sleep a wink, not in anyway that mattered.

By the time it was approriate to wake up, I got dressed and ready for school. When I came across my mirror though, I looked like a train wreck. My eyes were puffy to a point where no makeup could really save it.

I'll just pretend that I wanted to wear shades today. I'll put a hat on for extra effect.

The next thing I knew, I was being called for breakfast. This was not part of the plan. I frantically bombarded the twins with texts. This was the favor I asked for earlier today.

I refused to go down until I got a reply.

Finally, just as my mom shouted for me in the tell-tale manner of anger, I recieved a text.

I immediately head
