Chapter 9

"Ms. Windsor!"

May was panicking too, but she had no idea what to do.

Just as both women were about to give up, a voice rang out from behind them.

"A bunch of grown men bullying one woman? That's not very nice."

Everyone turned to look at the one who spoke—Archer.

May's face was full of shock. Sofia, on the other hand, felt a tiny flicker of hope spark in her chest.

"If you can get me out of here," she said to Archer, "I swear I'll repay you with everything I have!"

Right now, Sofia felt like she was drowning, and Archer's arrival was the first breath of air she'd had in what felt like forever. She wasn't about to let that chance slip away.

Lucas scowled. "Who the hell are you? You think you can butt into Frostclaw Order's business?"

He had assumed all three of them were together. Clearly, that wasn't the case.

Archer stayed calm. "Who I am doesn't matter. I just couldn't stand watching your dirty little show."
