LOGINSam I was really beginning to hate this office. Of all the times for Seth and Rhi to not be here, it just had to be during mating season. Hormones were raging, and common sense was lacking. At least we had a good game plan set out for Aiden and Lian, although neither of them liked the idea of ..... "I really think that we should call Seth and Rhi," Jo repeated with her arms crossed over her chest. I turned to look at Jo. Oh, how I love her. I really do. But I didn't always love her way of thinking. "We're not going to bother them right now, hun. They have more important things to worry about than what's going on here." Jo furrowed her eyebrows as she glared at me, her honey eyes looking like they were burning me alive. "Decisions are being made that affect this pack as a whole. Don't you think they should have a say?" I ran my tongue over my teeth, wondering if I should bite it to keep me from saying .... na. Fuck it. "I'm not going to say it again .... honey ..... we are n
Freya I stared quietly at my phone, reading Kaden's name in the message bubble over and over again as I tried to find the courage to actually message him. "Just link him," Kiera said with a hint of irritation in her voice. But I didn't want to link him. I didn't want him to hear the hesitation that I knew would be in my voice. A loud crack of thunder echoed in the sky, making me jump and awaken from my daze. My fingers quickly slid over the smooth screen of my phone, hitting send before I had a chance to change my mind ..... again. Me: Where are you? Kaden: Why? I rolled my eyes and let out an irritated huff at the fact that he answered my question with a question. Me: Just answer me ....... My stomach was flipping with each second that passed without the little dots moving to show that he was replying. This is stupid. This is fucking stupid. But just as I went to lock my screen and go back into the pack house, I saw the three little dots rise and fall.
Freya Lightning flashed, and thunder rolled as rain continued to hammer down outside. Sylvia and I walked back downstairs after our little chat, heading towards the voices that were coming from the kitchen. As soon as we reached the hallway, Falco and a blonde girl ran through the front door looking like two drowned rats, and almost plowed into us. Sylvia teleported, and I evanesced out of their way at the last second. "Watch it, asshole!" I yelled in irritation as soon as I reappeared, but as I looked at the blonde girl, wondering who she was and why she looked just as pissed off at Falco as I was, something shiny caught my attention. "Who's the blonde and why is the poor girl handcuffed to you?" A sarcastic smile formed on the blonde's face. "Finally, someone who clearly sees my suffering!" Falco closed his eyes and sighed as he rubbed the back of his neck. "This is Aurora Bennington, she's my ....." Aurora quickly interrupted Falco as she extended her hand towards me.
Falco I knew the looks I received every time I took off into the woods by myself. Suspicion, curiosity, maybe even sympathy as everyone ran with their own assumptions. But I didn't give a shit. It became my mission .... our mission ..... to find the blonde that belonged to us that no one knew about. Even if she did try sending my balls to my throat ..... And now she punched me. Karro was laughing hysterically. "I can't even heal you right now, you dumb ass. So much for seeing the future." I continued to turn my wrist in the cuff. I didn't know what was worse. My stupidity, my wolf giving me shit, or the silent treatment I was getting from the others. After the blonde had finished belittling me, I started walking back towards the pack house. I was thankful that she didn't put up a fight, but it's not like she had much of a choice, either. A mixture of emotions flowed through me, and I felt like I had to somehow make this better, even just a little bit. I turned my head jus
Jessabelle Zeke and I were walking hand in hand through the woods that belonged to the neighbors. Well, soon to belong to the pack once the paperwork was completed. The land had belonged to an older couple who recently decided to retire from farming. The sad truth is that the lifestyle that once helped build this country is now nothing more than a memory. As farmers age, their children don't want anything to do with the labor involved, and large, industrial-style farms become the new norm as small, family farms go under. Seth has multiple realtors who reach out to him before any land that's near the pack land gets listed publicly. It usually works out, as the family doesn't want to see their land get developed, and the pack could always use more farmland. I glanced over at Zeke, admiring his handsome features as the sunlight that managed to make its way through the tree tops gave his brown hair a golden hue, and his green eyes stood out a little more than usual. Our wolves
Freya Secrets. They're something that we all keep, even if we say we're not going to. Some are to protect others, while the rest are to protect ourselves. They can keep building up inside of us until we explode. Lies. That's all they were. Lies hidden by a pretty name ...... and I hated lies. I needed someone to talk to. Going for a ride did nothing, as we were all going through our own bullshit, and I couldn't unload my burdens onto those I loved. I kept going down the list of who to reach out to, when Kiera growled deeply, as if she were offended. Give me a break. If I listened to you, I'd probably be caught up in the middle of a game of orifice-filling Twister right about now. "You know, that actually sounds fun! I'll have to make a mental note of that for later," Keira replied with a sarcastic chuckle. Bitch. I rolled my eyes as I made my way to Sylvia's herb garden, assuming she'd be there collecting things for her potions and whatnot. She's honestly the best one to
Rieka Seth and I were sitting quietly at the long wooden desk across from Jacqueline Tubbs, waiting for her to say something .... anything at all. We had told her that we were interested in helping rogues in need get back on their feet. But instead of being happy, the beautiful, curvy woman with
Rieka The crisp morning air was thick with the scent of autumn. I inhaled deeply as Seth and I walked over to the land that used to belong to my family so we could see how the new construction was coming along. "I can't believe that Roxie and Blue are moving out after this weekend," I whispere
Seth Dub came to a smooth stop in Julia's backyard. I hated to admit it, but Julia was right. Dub had earned a new respect from me after the speed at which he carried Rhiannon and I. As Dub leaned down so that I could easily dismount with Rhiannon, I thought about when Lucius chased the horse thro
Rhiannon I kept my eyes closed tightly as I slowly came to. The only sounds I heard were the wind blowing and water splashing in the distance. I thought it was odd that Gram opened my bedroom windows, but I honestly didn't think anything of it. I wasn't in the mood to think much thanks to the pres
