Rieka

She's gone.

Seth's words repeated in my mind as I felt my heart tighten inside my chest. After everything we had just been through, not just this weekend, but the entire summer. After staying away while I bonded with Lupa and ensured the vampire venom hid my energy .... Gram can't be gone. She's just missing .....

But deep down, I knew better.

I fell to the floor as my world spun around me, and I closed my eyes as I started to hyperventilate. Seth and Amar quickly came over to try to comfort me. Amar nuzzled his head deep in my lap while Seth wrapped his arms around my shoulders and held me tightly.

How could this happen? And then it hit me, Timophy's voice saying that he and Laura weren't the only ones. I had been so preoccupied with everything else that I had completely forgotten ..... how could I forget?! This is my fault ....

"Breathe, Rhi. Slow, deep breaths," Lupa calmly instructed, and I did my best to obey.

"I'm so sorry, I wish that I were here under diff

Jaycee After I took a shower at the gym I made my way back towards the packhouse. I wasn't oblivious to all of the glances others sent my way, only to catch them looking away as soon as I made eye contact with them. I knew that I needed to handle things on my own, regardless of how uncomfortable it made me feel. I've had a difficult time verbalizing my feelings ever since I was a kid. It was simply easier to shove my emotions in the back of my mind than it was to talk about them, especially after what happened. But enough was enough. As I got closer to the packhouse, I saw Tyler hurrying towards it, his face almost pale and his eyes slightly wide as if he were nervous. "Hey, Tyler, wait up!" I yelled out as I jogged over to him. Tyler stopped on the sidewalk and waited for me to catch up to him. "You don't happen to know what Seth wants, do you? He sent a link asking me to come over to the meeting room." I shook my no. "Sorry, man. He didn't tell me anything about meetin

Rieka When Roxie and Blue walked into the meeting room, I couldn't believe how much she was already showing. She didn't have a huge baby bump, but it was very obvious that she was pregnant. "Don't look at me like that Rhi. I know our terms aren't as long as humans', but this is crazy," Roxie said as she sat down in a chair. "Maybe you're carrying twins," I replied with a grin. Roxie glared at me. "I'm going to let you have that as this isn't exactly easy to say, but it needs to be addressed sooner than later ....." "You and Blue need to leave, don't you?" I asked as I placed my hands under the table, on my lap, and started playing with my fingers. Seth immediately reached over, gently placing his hand on top of mine. "Well, that was easy," Blue said as he relaxed and leaned back in his chair. Roxie turned and gave him an irritated look. "Could you not?" Blue grinned as he shrugged his shoulders. I let out a breath of air, hoping to keep my composure. "Seth and I hav

Seth A pack can only be as strong as its Alpha, which is why I run my pack with the other ranking members instead of by myself. Doing so helped ease the burden if something was going on in our lives. Unfortunately, right now, something was going on with all of us. Damian and Izzy were still healing from what happened to them. Roxie and Blue were trying to help with Shaylee's death. Jo has only recently been coming out of her room. From the beginning, nothing has been normal regarding Rhi becoming my Luna. And despite the fact that I've tried to have a one-on-one conversation with Jay, I just haven't had a chance to find the right time. Nor the right words. So I decided to make the time today. I decided to go look for Jay instead of sending him a link asking to talk. I had a pretty strong suspicion that he would be working out in the gym, and sure enough, my assumption was correct. When I glanced through the window in the door, Jay was running on the elliptical while listen

  • The True Elemental Luna   Chaoter 73 - Forever

Jolene Pack life was slowly getting back to normal, for the most part. After our allies returned to their packs, we held a memorial service for those we had lost. The guilt of Waya's death hit harder during the pack run, knowing that Buffy and I would never again see our friend who saved us. Seth had recommended that I speak with the pack counselor. Mom begged both Jay and I to go. Dad quietly looked at me like he wanted to make things better, but didn't know how. I just haven't been ready to talk to a stranger about this. Instead, I chose to curl up in bed and watch sad movies as I tried to make the world make sense. "You can't keep doing this to yourself, Jo. Waya wanted to save us to live, not to waste away in this room," Buffy said with an irritated huff as I stared blankly at the TV screen. I didn't even know what movie was playing. I completely zoned out when the bedroom door swung open, and the familiar scent of herbs and hyacinth quickly captured my attention. Sylv

Rieka Leviathian, Fiona, Niamph, Sloane, and their warriors immediately went back home as soon as their dead became one with their elements. They left so quickly that I didn't even have a chance to properly thank them for everything that they had done. The other Alphas and Lunas stayed for an extra day to recoup before going back to their own packlands, and before they left we decided to have breakfast together. Well, everyone except for Jay and Jo. Both of them wanted to stay in their rooms until the others were gone. We all sat at the office table, the only one big enough for all of us, talking as we finished our morning beverages while a couple of the Omegas quietly took our dishes out for us. "So the three of you can heal others?" Darcy asked from her seat next to Robert, her dark eyes looking between Sam, Roxie, and me. She already looked significantly healthier than she had just the other night. Her long dark brown hair was washed, her dark hazel eyes sparkled, and the

  • The True Elemental Luna   Chapter 71 - More to Come

Rieka A decent-looking man with a strong jawline, slicked-back black hair, and black eyes appeared in front of the dwindling fire, holding onto Timophy's black heart. Amar and Dub quickly put themselves between the strange man and I, still in their amarok and aethon forms, as Seth held my hand tightly. The man scoffed as he rolled his eyes. "Fucking relax. If I wanted her, I'd already have her." He then squinted his eyes, looking into the crowd of survivors that were watching. "Levi?! Is that you?! Oh, boy. Of all the deities to decide to fight ..... your council is going to have a field day with you." I turned around to see Leviathan standing with Fiona tucked under his arm. He placed a kiss on the top of her head, almost reassuring her that everything would be OK. "I'm assuming you're Dis?" I asked, although I already knew the answer. He closed his dark eyes and bowed his head slightly. "The one and only." I knew I should be consumed by fear, but there was somethin
