“What do you mean by that?” Sir Sule asked Lucius. The sun had set and Emelda wasn’t back yet so Lucius had confided in Sir Sule about his little escapade with Emelda.
“She needed a break. She had been locked up here for too long and it wasn’t fair to her.” Lucius defended.
“Fair? Do you know that the future of the Lakewood kingdom rests on everything we are about to do tonight? How could you take such a decision without telling anyone?”
“She promised t come back and I believe her.”
“So where is she then? I know that you weren’t raised in the palace but still, I expect you to make rational decisions. You can’t act on impulse if you are to sit on the throne. I see you as a wise man so why did you have to do something like this?” Sule had actually wanted to use the word STUPID but there was no way he could because he wasn’t addressing a little boy anymore but rather, a future king.
