Darius had returned from King Barroc’s carriage to join the other werewolves. Some of them had already gone back to their various homes but some were still around.
Adolf couldn’t wait to ask his Alpha, Darius, what was going on.
Even before King Barroc had introduced himself, Adolf had already recognized him because he carried a staff that was peculiar to him alone. Adolf could recognize that staff anywhere.
He had never met Barroc before but his father had told him all about the ‘weird king’ because that is what Barroc was known as. Adolf’s father had even shown him pictures of the staff that king Barroc likes to carry around.
Adolf couldn’t remember all the stories he had been told but one thing that stayed with him was the fact that the king was known to be a double-crosser and it was always good to stay away from him.
