Chapter 74: The Cleaner

He read and turned to Nick

"The police are here," he said but before he could return his focus to the door, he was shot in the shoulder and the stomach, but Nick shot the man that had entered.

"Boss, we are surrounded, the police are here," reported one of the men to the leader

"What should we do?" he asked

He said nothing but removed from his breast pocket what looks like a phone and flipped the pad open. The other men watched him as he dialled some numbers on the device and next, they heard explosions accompanied by screams.

"Get everyone, out there and call the rest to come in," he ordered

"I will take care of Nick and his friends, they are wounded right?" he asked and proceeded with the men to find Nick

"Yes boss," the man replied and pulled out his phone to make a call as he followed his boss together with four other armed men to search for Nick and his friends.

All this while, Mrs Brown was still locked up where Gustave kept her and Mrs Hayford was also still sleeping
