9. Trapped With Mr. Bad Boy

We met up in the basement after school, much to my dismay.
"This is all your fault, buddy. YOU pushed me!" I protested.
"Whatever," he waved his hands in dismissal. "Let's just get this over with, so I can go home," he said gruffly.
"Yeap, let's...why don't you start by moving those boxes over there, and I'll sweep the floor," I offered.
Jake didn't argue anymore. He went over to the corner and started to move stuff around. I picked up the broom and started sweeping. Jake sneezed a few times as the room was dusty. His eyes were slowly turning red. Dust allergy?
I guess my sweeping skill was rusty because I was doing a terrible job. All I did was move the dirt around and made the room dustier.
We worked together quietly for the first half-hour. I was surprised he didn't attack me with smart-ass remarks or call me nasty names for this long. It must be a new record for him.

Things went back to normal after the trip. No more Trevor vandalizing Aaron's properties and no more ex-boyfriend drama, at least, for now. Aaron gave Bella an awkward apology which she accepted wholeheartedly. It seems that she decided to ignore Aaron's harsh treatments against her and continued to obsess over him despite him having a girlfriend. What a persistent girl! It was near graduation, so Jake and I prepared for college. Jake was taking a year off so he could be with me despite my protests. "We are applying at the same college because you are not allowed to be separated from me," he declared. "Excuse me...don't I have anything to say to this, Mr. Possessive? What if I don't want to go to the same school as you?" I demanded to know. He leaned closer and stared into my eyes intensely. "You don't?" he asked. Four of us decided to go to an amusement park. It was a nice day out, perfect for some outdoor activities. "Oh, look! A Ferris wheel. Let's ride that. It'll be so romantic," Macie said enthusiastically. "Booriiing!" Jake and I said at the same time. "We are riding THAT," I said and pointed at a roller coaster that looks like death. It turned out. My parents hadno problem with Aaron tagging along with his girlfriend. More the merrier, they said. So off we went, onour family trip. Never in my life have I imagined that I would be vacationing with the Morris brothers. Maybe I was in the twilight zone. The ride to my grandma's house went smoothly except for the fact that Liliana glared at Macy once in a while. I nervously knocked on his bedroom door. I hoped Aaron was telling me the truth and Jake wanted me back as much as I wanted him. "GO AWAY, AARON! I said I don't wanna come out," Jake and from inside. "It.. it's Jane," I said. The door flew open. "Janey!" he cried and threw his arms around me and pulled me into a hug. I buried my face in his chest. "I thought you would never speak to me again after the way I treated you. I'm so sorry," he whispered into my hair. "I'm sorry too. For everything," I said. My eyes were full of tears. It felt too good to be in his arms. "It wasn't your fault Janey. I was a jerk to you and my brother was the biggest idiot on the planet," he reassured me.
