Werewolves. Two things mattered the most to them. Bond and territory. But Tomasi Astra of Blue Rose pack did not care about either. While everybody fought to find their mates, she couldn't care about getting one. If she did, no problem and if she didn't, all was well. The female believed in freedom, and not having to be tied down and she felt bad for those that were mated to douchebags, jerks, murderers, and so on. She felt bad that they had no other option than to accept it because they were fated. She didn't like that. Fate or not, she would choose whoever she wanted. The freckled redhead was the opposite of her twin sister. Alba Tomasi was happily mated but then again, her mate, Ezra was a total sweetheart. While Alba found her mate when the girls were just at the ripe age of eighteen, she already had a child by the time she was nineteen. Now, twenty-four, Astra was playing aunt to a five-year-old Jakob. Raine had done a very good job raising her daughters, one was mated and
Izan was annoyed. His beta, Adam had forgotten to ask Alpha Calihan for the scroll. The Alpha King, alpha Kieran had passed new instructions on how to relate with the mundanes at the supernatural meeting. These instructions were embedded in the scroll which he would have gotten if he wasn't busy talking to some faeries. Luckily Calihan had taken two but he had to go to his pack to get it while he sent his beta and top epsilon home. He sat down in the pack house waiting impatiently for one of the few people he could call a friend. Calihan had said something a few days ago about finding his mate so he could understand why he was being kept waiting. Sooner than later, Calihan appeared with the scroll in his hand. "Sorry, I was busy.""Save it," Izan kissed his teeth as someone came inside. He collected the scroll and opened it, going through it as the person spoke. "Alpha, Astra is here to deliver bread to the grand luna.""Let her in," the person bowed and left. "How's the mate?"
When they got to the pack house, it was already evening. Izan showed her to her room and then left her alone without a word. For a very big house, it was quite sparse of people and unlike her former pack house, this pack house smelled fresh which was unusual. There were no lingering scents of pack members and everywhere was extra tidy. Even her room was basic, it had white walls and smelled of laundry soap and disinfectants. Izan went to his office, his beta following him behind. "Who's she?" He wasted no time in asking. "Who?" Izan played dumb as he opened the long scroll and began to read thoroughly."You will be saving both of us a lot of time if you just say the truth now." The beta scowled. Izan sighed and looked at him. "She's my mate." The beta shook his head. "No, that can't be. You can't have a second chance mate," he frowned. "Apparently I do." The alpha went back to reading. "So what are you going to do?""Get her to leave me.""Why? there must be a reason for havin
"What if the number 8 was actually a big 0 wearing a waist trainer?"Dre, the top epsilon looked up at Adam in pure confusion. "Think about it." Adam continued and Dre shook his head and then went back to what he was doing. They were resting against the kitchen island, Adam munching on an apple having those what-if thoughts, and Dre going through his phone. Izan walked into the kitchen putting on sweatpants and no shirt, a small towel hanging around his neck. He went to the refrigerator and picked a bottle of cold water then chugged it down. "How was the night?" Adam asked and the alpha shrugged. "No craving?" The top epsilon studied his friend's face. Izan pinched his thumb and forefinger together leaving a little space in between. "What's up?" He asked his friends. Adam threw an apple at him which he caught easily. "Normal A being stupid," Dre said and Adam threw a banana at him making Izan chuckle. Meanwhile, Astra was on her way downstairs when she heard the voices in the k
"I don't believe in rejection." "There's no other explanation for this," the doctor said looking at an unconscious Astra. "Laken?""I didn't mean to. Her wolf was trying to get to me and I wished we were mateless. I didn't mean t–" "You rejected her?!" Izan yelled through the mind link. "Don't yell at me, it's not like you wanted her anyway." "Well now she's going to die because of your rejection and that's everlasting pain for us. This is just the beginning, you just wait until she dies.""We have to do something about it.""You mean me. All you're going to do is remain dormant and try not to make more foolish mistakes.""Alpha," the doctor called. Izan looked at him not realizing he had been staring at Astra. "She's asleep," the doctor said and Izan nodded."But she might not wake up." The male's heart leaped out of his chest and he glanced at the iota. Was giving heart attacks part of an iota's job? But this man here was his personal doctor, he has been responsible for his h
When Izan woke up the next morning, Astra was nowhere to be found. Not that he was looking for her exactly, he just couldn't smell her. He had joined her in her bed after she kicked him out and went back to sleep but because she was still a bit unstable, her mind didn't comprehend that he had entered her bed again while her body had relaxed into him. For a while, Izan ignored the thought of her leaving bed before him and went to his study to prepare some documents before going to train. Izan, who couldn't concentrate began to feel disturbed. He decided to just check around so he could continue working in peace. He stood up and made his way into the living room where he found Dre. "Have you seen Astra this morning?" He asked. "Who's Astra?" Dre looked up in confusion. "My mate." Izan sighed. He couldn't even get upset, that was just Dre being Dre. He was slow. "Oh, you mean that redhead lady?" Dre's eyes widened in realization. "Yeah," Izan said in a monotone voice. "You know,
His eyes roamed her body before he pulled her by the waist. "Stooop," she whined, trying to push him away. "Stop what?" He whispered in her ear and licked her earlobe. Astra giggled softly as Izan laid her on the bed. He stood between her legs and kissed her lips. "Mwah," Astra palmed his face cheeks and kissed him back. "We shouldn't be doing this." She said out of breath when she broke the kiss. "That's what makes it fun," Izan raised her dress and pulled down her underwear taking in the titillating smell of her arousal. The female ran her hand through her hair as her breath hitched from seeing him look down at her womanhood. "Relax," the alpha soothed softly. "I'm trying." She replied, voice full of wrecked nervousness. Izan rubbed his thumb all over her clit stimulating her to create more gooey and clear sweetness and Astra closed her eyes in pleasure as she grabbed the sheets. The sturdy male huffed as he slid inside her. Suddenly, the sky rumbled and Izan jolted awake.
Izan was hurt. He didn't understand where the pain was coming from as he felt like something punctured his heart. Two days after Astra's accident, Izan had been feeling strange. He felt like his heart was in danger. He could be working and abruptly, it would feel like someone pierced his heart with a needle. It had been happening for a while but it had suddenly become worse. Now, it felt like his heart was being stabbed with a knife but to be very honest, Izan did not whether being pierced with a needle was better than being stabbed with a knife or the other way round but one thing he was sure of was that he was in extreme pain. He shut his eyes tightly and held his hand over his chest as he winced in pain. "She's going to be the death of you."His eyes flew open as the words came crashing down on him. The utterances that were spoken to him a few years ago came to him as clear as daylight and as fresh as green leaves in the spring."It's already happening." He whispered to himsel
