Izan was annoyed. His beta, Adam had forgotten to ask Alpha Calihan for the scroll. The Alpha King, alpha Kieran had passed new instructions on how to relate with the mundanes at the supernatural meeting. These instructions were embedded in the scroll which he would have gotten if he wasn't busy talking to some faeries. Luckily Calihan had taken two but he had to go to his pack to get it while he sent his beta and top epsilon home. He sat down in the pack house waiting impatiently for one of the few people he could call a friend. Calihan had said something a few days ago about finding his mate so he could understand why he was being kept waiting. Sooner than later, Calihan appeared with the scroll in his hand. "Sorry, I was busy.""Save it," Izan kissed his teeth as someone came inside. He collected the scroll and opened it, going through it as the person spoke. When they got to the pack house, it was already evening. Izan showed her to her room and then left her alone without a word. For a very big house, it was quite sparse of people and unlike her former pack house, this pack house smelled fresh which was unusual. There were no lingering scents of pack members and everywhere was extra tidy. Even her room was basic, it had white walls and smelled of laundry soap and disinfectants. Izan went to his office, his beta following him behind. "Who's she?" He wasted no time in asking. "Who?" When Izan woke up the next morning, Astra was nowhere to be found. Not that he was looking for her exactly, he just couldn't smell her. He had joined her in her bed after she kicked him out and went back to sleep but because she was still a bit unstable, her mind didn't comprehend that he had entered her bed again while her body had relaxed into him. For a while, Izan ignored the thought of her leaving bed before him and went to his study to prepare some documents before going to train. Izan, who couldn't concentrate began to feel disturbed. He decided to just check around so he could continue working in peace. He stood up and made his way into the living room where he found Dre. "Have you seen Astra this morning?" He asked. Now, it felt like his heart was being stabbed with a knife but to be very honest, Izan did not whether being pierced with a needle was better than being stabbed with a knife or the other way round but one thing he was sure of was that he was in extreme pain.
