Chapter 9: Retail Therapy Part 1 – Jewellery
Yuan Rui informed Zhi Rou that all her stuff was going to be moved to his apartment and the landlord was notified and paid three months' rent so that he wouldn't complain.
Yuan Rui put on a black surgical mask before they went into ShanMall where they needed to purchase her essentials. Zhi Rou was against buying clothes for herself but Yuan Rui made up an excuse of "You will be a rich man's wife soon, so you need to dress well." Rolling her eyes, Zhi Rou gave up but told him that she didn't want clothes that were too expensive.
She pushed him through the busy mall. They were drawing attention from everyone. They looked like a happy couple, a wife pushing her husband in fact. Walking into a jewellery store Yuan Rui said, "You aren't allowed to spend less than 10,000 Yuan in this shop. Your jewellery limit is 30,000 Yuan."

After Qing Shan left, they went into a perfume shop where Zhi Rou tested over fifty fragrances and finally picked one named “Moss.” She looked at Yuan Rui, "Honey, how about this, how does it smell to you?" she asked as she dabbed it onto her neck. Yuan Rui felt warm and fuzzy hearing Zhi Rou call him honey, especially the way she said it so naturally. She sat down on him and stretched her neck out. Yuan Rui, Zhi Rou, and Qing Shan moved further into the mall. Zhi Rou looked around at the different stores and spotted another jewellery shop that advertised piercings as well. Her eyes sparkled and she made a beeline to the shop, surprising both Yuan Rui and Qing Shan. The shop was small, and the wheelchair couldn't go further than reaching the counter in the centre of it. She walked around Yuan Rui and stopped at the counter. Zhi Rou greeted the young man behind the counter. "Good morning, my boyfriend and I want to pierce our noses." "No, I don't!" Yuan Rui interjected. Zhi Rou turned her head to look at him and pouted. "But baby, you said you'd do anything I want today since it's my birthday and I want us to get nose piercings – you know? Like couples shirts but a couples nose piercing."

The assistant wanted to say, 'His wife just spoke about buying a 10,000-piece puzzle that alone cost more than a mere book' but kept her calm and smiled. "I'm sorry but there is nothing we can do." Qing Shan didn't like the attitudes of the young women but since his young master was patiently waiting, he didn't have a reason to react. But just because he didn't have a reason, he couldn't believe that Zhi Rou was nowhere to be seen. There was only one door, and she couldn't have left the shop. As he was scanning the back of the store, he saw her walking towards them. Her expression told him that she was displeased and Qing Shan hoped that she'd do something about them.

Zhi Rou was tired of shopping, so she pushed Yuan Rui past all the stores and headed to the food court. It was very busy and there weren't any tables open for them to sit at. The crowd looked at them and even those who didn't want to move were forced out of the way because of her overbearing self. She stopped and lined up in the KFC queue. Yuan Rui groaned to himself. Zhi Rou was doing everything uncalled for, things that he's never done before nor seen. They arrived at the counter, and she ordered. The couple arrived at the beautiful apartment on the ground floor. Yuan Rui lived in the area where only the rich and wealthy resided. He had a whole floor to himself as his residence. There were three other floors above him, but no one knew who stayed on the first floor. The RV stopped at the front where they could easily help Yuan Rui out and lead him into the house. Zhi Rou wheeled him out of the RV and looked around, amazed. The garden around the apartment complex was amazing. It had an array of flowers, and the trees were magnificently maintained. She wheeled him forward and they entered the complex. She saw an elevator, but was told to just head straight to door 100. Opening the door to her room, Zhi Rou walked in and was dumbstruck! Her bedroom was as big as the living room they were just in, and the decorations were similar to that of her old place. In the centre of the room against the wall was a king-sized bed covered in lavender bed sheets. A white- and lavender-coloured fluffy blanket was folded on the edge of the bed covering the base. The bed had six pillows on it; the bigger pillows were covered in lavender, the medium in white and the small oval pillows were grey with lavender-coloured stripes running horizontally. The floor had a lavender-coloured ruffle rug covering the centre with cherry wood floors. The cupboards matched the cherry wood floors that stood out well against the white walls. Zhi Rou had a walk-in bathroom between her cupboards and the cupboards themselves were neatly packed with all her clothes and shoes.

Qing Shan came over to Zhi Rou, and his mouth instantly watered at the smell of the orange and poppy seed muffins that assaulted his nose dangerously. He'd almost forgotten that he needed to report to her. She smiled at him. "You can have as many as you want soon. Let them cool off first." Snapping out of his daze as a honk blared through the complex from outside, Qing Shan said, "Jiang Hui Yin is outside and she wants to see the young master. He already ordered the security guards to not let her in, but she is stubborn and is still outside causing a ruckus." Zhi Rou raised a brow as she chopped up the mangetout and spring onions. Pursing her lips, she mumbled, "Well, it seems like Miss Jiang doesn't have manners. Qing Shan, tell them to send her away and if she still refuses, they should call the police and ask them to remove her from the premises. Mr. Zhao
