I was still pretty annoyed with Jaz. I get that healing was really important to her, and that I know she was making an important decision for her career, but it didn’t make it sting less.
Ok, I wasn’t really mad at her. Just annoyed that I had gone through all of this trouble to end up without a date and spending my Saturday night without my girlfriend.
I really needed to blow off some steam. The run this morning burned off some of the rage I felt at the news of another attack, but I was boiling again. My phone buzzed repeatedly on the bed. It was my father.
