Chapter Seventeen: New Friend

Brielle’s POV

After about four hours of having to deal with a lot of Lucas's judgement and downing comments, we all started to agree that behind all of that rude exterior, he was really good at what he did.

I had graduated top in the design diploma that I had gone to but he seemed to have gone to some big-name school. I was yet to get a hang of all those schools and qualifications that were used in the human world but that was fine, the important thing was to make sure our team had results to hand over in very little time from now.

“Whew! I always wondered why we had to take that accounting minor in my third year and now I get it,” Richard said as he slumped on my couch exhausted.

As soon as we finished getting the estimates, everyone was dead tired, of course, that was besides the man that sat across me with his leg raised up.

At some point in the four hours, Lucas had even dozed off without any care about the struggle we were going to.
