Chapter 5- Flashback

Arianna's POV

'Why is he asking about Raymond?' I thought to myself.

"I know you were mated to Raymond before. Why did you guys separate? How did you end up like this?" He asked. I could see a lot of questions in his eyes.

"We were mates. He rejected me. His lover sent those wolves to kill me." I told him with a bitter smile.

"Why? I know I might be reopening your old wounds, but I want to know everything. So that I can help you out." He said with a genuine, concerned look.

"It started three months ago. I went to Bright Star Pack with my family. It was their Alpha's birthday. Rogues attacked on the pack during the party." I started telling him the whole story.

I was lost in those old memories again.

"Rogues have attacked. I can't find your mother. I'll go and look for her. Just stay here. Don't go anywhere. " Dad said to me.

I was hiding at the spot dad told me. My eyes fell on the pup who was crying. A wolf was about to attack him. I couldn't resist myself from saving him.

"Are you okay, baby?" I asked him while wiping his tears.

"I can't find mom." He sobbed hardly.

"Don't worry, I'll help you in finding her. Now stop crying. You are a brave wolf." I said.

He nodded while looking at me with his doe eyes.

"You might have saved him, but who is going to save you?" The leader of rogue group growled.

I picked up the pup in my arms and started running away.

I tripped on my foot and fell down. My head hit the stone nearby.

"Run away. Go and hide until your mom comes." I said to the pup.

"You are bleeding. " He cried.

"Don't worry about me. Just go away." I saw him running away.

'Time for me to take charge. Stay back and rest, Arianna. ' Aurora said, and I gave her control.

'It's been quite a while since I spilled some blood.' Aurora said while digging her claws on the ground.

Rogues attacked her. She successfully dodged and retaliated. Aurora is a quiet wolf. She is not too violent, but when she is in action, she is a beast. Don't know why mom always refused me to shift during fights. She expects me to sit back all the time.

'Aurora, he is coming from the left.' I said, and she dodged the attack. She bited his shoulder.

Everything was under control until I felt a sharp pain on my shoulder, as if something penetrated in me.

'They shot me with a silver bullet. ' Aurora howled.

'Aurora, try to run away. Give me control. They will kill you.' I panicked.

I felt another bullet piercing through her flesh. Our vision got blurry.

"Then what happened?" Xavier's voice brought me out of my thoughts.

"I woke up after 2 days. I got to know a male wolf saved me. It was Raymond. After meeting him, I got to know that he is my mate. He saved my  life. He even helped our pack in a war against enemy packs. I fell in love with him." I said.

"He loved you back?" He asked.

"He did."

There was a deep silence after this.

"At least that's what I thought. Before meeting me, he was dating Daniella. He told me everything about her. He said that he would end things with her as I'm his mate, his true love. He kept lying, and I kept falling for his lies." I paused for a while.

"What kind of person is Daniella?" He asked.

"You wanted to know how I ended up in woods like this. It was Daniella. She sent those wolves to rape and kill me so that she could be the only woman in Raymond's life." I saw his eyes darkened at my statement.

"I won't spare anyone who hurted you." He growled, his eyes glowing. His wolf is taking control.

'His wolf is coming out. What should I do.' I asked Aurora.

Just pat his head and talk to him politely. I did as she said. I ran my fingers through his hair, "Calm down, Gray."  I said softly, and Xavier was back in control.

"I'm sorry my stupid wolf scared you." He apologized.

"Aurora is getting mad. Don't call him stupid. " I laughed nervously, and he chuckled.

This was my first time talking to a male wolf like this. Fang was so scary I would have been dead if I dared to touch him when he was mad.

"Why do Daniella hate you that much?" He asked.

"Obviously because she thinks I stole Raymond from her. Raymond started neglecting her. He chose me as his Luna instead of her. He broke up with her once I shifted to pack. She resented me for all this. Even when Raymond rejected me, she wanted me to die so that I won't win him back. That insecure bitch." I snapped.

"You said that Raymond was treating you well. He even left Daniella for you. Then why did he hate you? Why did he reject you?" He looked puzzled.

"He rejected me because Daniella became pregnant with his pup. She claimed that I tried to harm their baby." I told.

"He broke up with her, then how was she carrying his baby? He cheated on you. Such a rascal."

"That pup is the climax of the story. It's not the sole reason behind the rejection. Our relationship was destroyed a long time ago by Daniella. " A shiver ran down my spine when I remembered the night when all this started. The night when he raised his hand on me for the first time.

"How? Why did he hate you suddenly? "
