Mila's POV

"Felicia?" Adrian asked

"Yes. Can I come in? I have to talk to you about something," Felicia answered.

"I'll be down in some time," he said.

"It can't wait," she said, the urgency evident in her voice.

I stared at Adrian, who had a nonchalant expression. His face looked bored as he stood up. I rushed up to him and held his arm.

"Are you going to open the door?" I asked

"Yes," he replied.

"You can't," I demanded, still holding his hands.

"Why?" he asked

"I'm in here," I answered, trying to make him see reasons not to open the door for Felicia.

I was inside the room for damn sake. Felicia hated me enough for being close to Adrian. What would she do if she found out I was staying in the same room with Adrian, a man who she had loved since childhood? I wasn't scared of her actions, but I was avoiding trouble and didn't want to be seen in a tug-of-war with Felicia.
