My sister released me at once, and we all turned to see who had spoken. Holy moonlight.

The man before us was a towering figure, at least six feet nine, with dark brows and muscles that seemed chiseled from stone. His jet-black hair framed an undeniably handsome face, highlighted by a strong jawline dusted with stubble.

Alpha Martin stepped forward, bowing deeply. “Alpha Kennis, welcome to our humble pack. It’s an honor.”

However, Alpha Kennis didn't glance at him. His gaze locked onto mine like a magnetic force. In that moment, everything else faded.

'Bow your head,' my mother’s voice hissed through our mind link, sending me scrambling to obey.

Kennis strode toward me, exuding both power and grace. I caught a whiff of his intoxicating scent. Pine, vanilla, and leather. It was so hypnotic that I purred involuntarily. He cupped my chin, tilting my face up. Then he let go, leaving me breathless and everyone around us in stunned silence.

‘Diara?’ My wolf, Dove, broke through my reverie.

‘Yes?’

‘You need to run from this man,’ she warned urgently. I nodded inwardly; I had plans to escape the pack with my only friend, Mark.

“Please, come inside,” Matt interrupted, his tone eager to shift the attention, “We’ll show you to your rooms.”

Only then did I notice Alpha Kennis was not alone. Two equally striking men stood by his side. One had model-like features and winked at me, making me look away, flustered. I attempted to slip away, but Kennis’s deep voice echoed, “I want her to show me to my room.”

“Diara doesn’t know where it is. She’s not an Omega,” Matt stammered, irritation flickering in his eyes.

“Diara,” Kennis drawled, a low, commanding timbre making my stomach flutter, “Show me to my room.”

My heart raced, and despite the panic surging inside, I forced a polite smile. “Please follow me, Alpha.”

I walked ahead of him, feeling the Alpha’s intense gaze on my back. Heart racing, I stumbled and steadied myself against the wall. As we reached the room, he shocked me by removing his shirt. I gasped and turned away, trying to shake the image of his incredible physique from my mind.

“A massage,” he commanded suddenly.

“I’m not a masseuse,” I answered, forcing a smile.

“I do not care,” he shot back, his keen eyes narrowing on me. My heart raced, and I instinctively stepped back, recalling my therapist's advice to stand my ground.

The flicker of amusement in his lethal silver eyes unnerved me. ‘He’s going to kill us!’ Dove panicked inside my head.

I bolted from the room. That night, at Alpha Kennis's welcoming party, I felt his eyes tracking my every move. I jumped at a tap on my shoulder. I turned to Mark. I mind-linked him to leave.

But just as we stepped out, a low growl silenced the crowd. “Diara,” Alpha Kennis drawled, his voice both a warning and a threat, causing a shiver to run down my spine.

“Yes?” My voice trembled.

“I have chosen you to be Luna of the Night Moon Pack,” he proclaimed, his words like thunder. Gasps erupted around us. Even his loyal men looked taken aback. Their faces showed shock and curiosity.

This couldn’t be real. Panic surged within me, a primal instinct that took control, and I shook my head in denial. Before I could think rationally, I ran.

‘I could feel his dark Lycan awakening the moment he laid eyes on you.’ Dove said.

‘You could have given me a heads-up!’ I shot back, my heart racing.

‘That was the plan, but only after you were safely out of sight,’ she fired back in frustration.

‘Shift!’ commanded Dove as I burst into the clearing of the woods. I transformed into my wolf. The change felt liberating. I had a rare wolf with it came agility and speed that could outpace most wolves. Even though I didn’t have a destination in mind, my instincts knew I had to escape.

A powerful growl echoed around me, sending a spine-tingling shiver down my body. I stumbled but pushed myself to run faster. Just as I thought I could veer away, a massive black Lycan leaped into my path. Skidding to a halt, my paws lost their grip, and I crashed to the ground. The towering beast loomed over me, its razor-sharp claws poised to strike, its bared teeth glistening in the dim light, and its eyes glowing with a haunting mix of gold and silver.

I felt the urge to turn and flee, but a commanding voice penetrated my thoughts.

'Stop.' It wasn’t a request. Against my will, I froze. How could he speak to me like this? He wasn’t part of my pack, yet I felt his raw power coursing through the very air around us.

With a sudden crackle, the creature shifted back into his human form. I gasped, stunned to see him fully clothed in an elegant yet effortlessly casual black ensemble. Typically, werewolves returned to their human state without a stitch of clothing.

‘Shift back,’ my wolf whimpered, her fear warring with a reluctant curiosity. She wanted nothing more than to escape this man, yet deep down, a strange element of attraction lingered in the air. Eventually, my form shifted back, leaving me naked before him. Heat surged to my cheeks as instinct kicked in, and I covered myself with my hands, filled with shame.

But his gaze was unyielding, shamelessly roaming my body, a frown darkening his features when he spotted the thin scar on my side. I got it when I saved my sister from a nasty fall.

“You can’t run from me,” he said, confidence lacing his tone. He took deliberate steps forward. I instinctively retreated, my pulse pounding in my ears.

“Leave me alone.” I tried to sound stern, but the quaver in my voice betrayed me, tears pooling in my eyes, blurring my vision.

His lips twisted into a snarl, a chilling expression that sent a wave of fear through me.

“My Lycan chose you as his.” His voice was as cold as ice. Why would such a powerful beast choose someone like me, someone who felt more like a spare than a Luna?

His large, warm hands gripped my shoulders, and tremors coursed through me. There was a mix of dread and something I couldn't identify through me. Without warning, a sharp pain pierced my neck. I gasped as he sank his teeth into my flesh, warmth flooding the wound. Blood flowed, and as he drank from me, a symphony of sensations struck. Pain intertwined with an unexpected flutter of pleasure, an intoxicating mix that left me dizzy.

He marked me, claiming me as his own. Just as the agony peaked, darkness encroached, and I blacked out.

Emrys's POVI had returned to the Polar Moon Pack. Tatiana had called me four hours earlier, saying they couldn't find my mate and that something felt off. It certainly did. My mate had been kidnapped, and my first suspect was her father. I confronted him and dragged him out of bed in the middle of the night, but he denied everything. However, he reeked of lies. His whore of a wife vouched for him, pleading for me to believe their innocence regarding Emma's disappearance. He even accused Joshua, claiming he had a vendetta against me. But even if Joshua had kidnapped Emma, I knew Jackson was involved.I searched everywhere for Emma's scent, but it abruptly ended when I left the packhouse, and her wolf, Shelly, was weak, making it impossible for me to mind-link with her. When I felt the faint bond between us, I was relieved to know she was alive. Jackson and Joshua thought they were clever, but I was smarter and had a witch on my side. So, I found myself in Emma's old room with Tatiana a

Today has been one of those days when I felt really down. Maybe it was because my mate had left for his pack, and I wouldn’t be seeing him for three to five days. I waved goodbye as his car drove off and returned to the room we shared, inhaling his scent like a junkie needing a fix. Tatiana and Isa kept me company all day; they must have sensed my sour mood. Even during my evening training session with Charles, I wasn’t feeling it. When night fell, I found myself crying alone under the duvets until my mate called. He had a busy day. "I miss you so much already…" he said, and my chest constricted. "I miss you too," "Baby, were you crying?" he asked, concern evident in his voice. "I'm sorry." "I miss you," I cried, letting it all out. "I… I’ll come back. I’ll tell my—" "No, please. Finish your work; I'm a big girl and can manage without you for a few days,” I told him, wiping my tears. I smiled bitterly, surprised he wanted to come back right away. "Are you sure?" he asked. "Ye

EmmaIn the following weeks, I alternated between training and helping to run the pack whenever I could. My father had been blocking my attempts to assist in the pack, even though I'd been handling everything for years while he partied. He even locked me out of my office! He was such a petty man, and I so wish to kick his ass. Although Emrys and Charles were training me, I still wasn't very skilled at fighting. After we finished today's training, Tatiana came to our suite. She hadn't left and had been given a room across from ours. "You look exhausted, Emma," she said, throwing herself onto the bed next to me. My mate frowned. "We should have a girls' day today. Maybe a spa day and all," she suggested, lifting her head to look at me. A spa day? I had never done something like that for myself. "You know what? Yeah," I nodded, and a smile lit up her face. We looked over at Emrys, who nodded in support. He had a meeting back in his pack tomorrow and would be away for three days, leavi

Emma's povWhen we got back home, Tatiana, Emrys's ex-fiancé, was in the driveway. She had changed into a sexy, short dress that showed off her long legs and was casually leaning against the wall, pouting and holding flowers. The men nearby were discreetly admiring her, while the women smiled and whispered about her beauty. When she noticed us arriving, her eyes lit up, and she walked towards us."You're back! Did you make up? Why didn't you let him sweat a little, Emma?" she asked, speaking as if we were friends. Her energy was infectious, and I couldn't help but reciprocate it."I was going to, but look at him." I pointed at my handsome mate, who frowned."Don't let that face and body fool you. He's the devil in an angel's mask," she whispered in my ear, making me laugh. We went inside. Tatiana and Emrys began bickering about her comment. Emrys claimed to be an angel and called her the devil; it was actually cute to see.

Joshua raised his hand as if to hit her, but froze. He was frustrated. "Are you dumb? Didn't you hear what I said?" she said to him, looking genuinely confused."Let go of me, wench!" Joshua spat. The tall, pretty woman shrugged her shoulders and pushed him lightly. To my surprise, he hit the wall with a thud. It was astounding how little force she had used yet how much impact it had.Joshua growled, preparing to attack her, but suddenly he stopped in his tracks, gasping loudly before running away. The woman turned to me with a pretty smile; everything about her was alluring."Are you okay?" she asked, concern in her voice.Who was she? She definitely wasn't part of the pack, and her lack of fear with Joshua made clear she held a position of high rank."Yes, I am. Thank you," I finally found my voice."Great," she said, turning and scanning the foyer before beaming at me. "He's here, see you later!" She waved and started heading upstairs. I followed her and asked, "Are you looking for

EmmaEmrys helped me clean my messy bedroom. My room had a simple layout, a bed, a dressing table, and a closet, all adjacent to the bathroom. I'm not the tidiest person, and I rarely spend much time in here. Sometimes Isabella or one of the omegas would tidy up, but by the time I used it, it was usually a mess, so they quit. However, with Emrys's incredible speed, he helped me clean the room quickly and fold all my clothes, which left me blushing. After all, who doesn't know how to fold and pack clothes at the age of 25?We spent the day in my room, just being in each other's presence, and when night came, he must have realised how nervous I got, as in, we'd spent the night together, but that was before we spoke and accepted the matebond. He pulled me to him, kissing my temple. "We don't have to do anything. I'm just happy sleeping," he said, and I nodded. He had ordered a pizza from the kitchen. He looked like a person who'd never tried it before; he was looking at me with a small
