Here’s the funny part: I made this whole story, the plot, characters, the drama, the chaos yet I still lose my mind every time I finally get to write one of those intense scenes that randomly attacks my brain at 2 a.m. It’s that “ugh, I NEED to get to that part already” energy, even though I literally planned it myself. I know what’s coming, but it still hits me in the chest the moment I start writing it… just like this chapter. #authorsthoughts

  • The Unwanted Wife   Chapter 255: With My Son.....

We walked toward the jetski, Atticus’s tiny hand warm in mine. I called out for Reid when I noticed he wasn’t walking with us.He wasn’t far — just standing there with that proud, knowing grin. The nanny was helping Atticus into a life jacket she pulled from her bag. She brought extra. When I asked her earlier what it was for, she just shrugged and said she “felt like it.”Maybe it was coincidence. Maybe it was fate.“Reid,” I called, “aren’t you coming?”He jogged over, grinning like he owned the whole beach. I opened my mouth to tell him to ride with us to stay close, but he just lifted his hand and gave me a thumbs‑up.“When did he get so cool,” I muttered proudly, looking at my son.“Dad’s the best at this,” he told Atticus proudly. “You’re gonna love it.”Atticus’s eyes sparkled, excitement bubbling up so fast it softened every trace of the tears he’d shed earlier. I helped him climb onto the jetski, settling him in front of me. His back pressed lightly against my chest. He giggl

Then, without warning, Atticus stepped closer. And suddenly, his small arms wrapped around my waist. He hugged me.I froze.Reid froze too, eyes wide. “Atti?”But Atticus didn’t let go. His tiny shoulders trembled, and then he cried. Soft, shaky little sobs pressed against my stomach. My heart stopped.“Hey… hey, buddy,” I whispered, my voice breaking even though I tried to hold it together. “What’s wrong?”Atticus shook his head against me, gripping my shirt tighter. “I’m just… so happy.”Happy. Happy to see me? Happy like something inside him recognized something inside me. I didn’t understand. Damn, I couldn’t understand. But God… I felt it.A warmth spread through my chest. I bent down, arms moving on their own, and hugged him back gently afraid that this moment would vanish in an instant.I was so happy. Too happy.Reid let out a delighted squeal and immediately threw his arms around both of us, giggling as he squeezed himself into the hug.“Group hug!” he laughed, pressing his c

He was around Reid’s age. Sun‑kissed skin, naturally tousled dark hair, cheeks flushed from excitement. He wore a white shirt and blue swim shorts, and his smile—God—his smile was bright enough to outshine the whole damn beach. But the eyes…I knew exactly who they belonged to. A deep green like still water in a forest clearing. Eyes that were hers. And seeing them on him made my heart twist so violently I almost staggered.Reid reached him first and grabbed his wrist, pulling him closer. “Atticus! You’re here!”He was still holding Atticus’s wrist when he turned back to me, grinning. “Dad! This is the boy I told you about! The one we met with Aunt Reila the other day — and my online best friend! The one I kept talking about! The one I said was super cool!”His words blurred together. I heard them but they didn’t register. Because all I could see was the little boy standing in front of me.Atticus.The child whose photos I had memorized. The child I had stared at every night, wondering

  • The Unwanted Wife   Chapter 252: Sand and Sounds

Regan’s POVMe and Reid had just got off the jetski, both of us dripping wet and laughing as we dragged it back toward the shore. The sun was high, the water warm, and the whole beach at San Estrella Cove was packed with families, tourists, and kids running around with sand buckets. We’d left my parents lounging under a big umbrella, and Reila was wandering somewhere with her camera, probably hunting for aesthetic shots.Reid shook his head like a dog, spraying water everywhere. “Dad! Did you see that wave? I thought we were going to flip!”I chuckled, ruffling his soaked hair. “We weren’t flipping. I had it under control.”“No, you didn’t,” he said with a grin, eyes bright. “You screamed.”“I did not scream.”“You did,” he insisted, laughing. “Like this—AAAH!”I groaned. “That’s not even close to how I sound.”Reid kept laughing, the kind of laugh that made his whole body shake. “It was funny, Dad. You should’ve seen your face.”I crouched down to fix his goggles, which were hanging

  • The Unwanted Wife   Chapter 251: Atti!

Atticus POV(super cute Atti!)Nana was talking to me again while she put more sunscreen on my neck. She always puts too much. It feels cold and sticky, like a slug sliding down my back.“Atti, you’ll burn if you don’t let me put this,” she said.“But Nana,” I said, “did you know that burns have levels? Like Level 1 is just red and Level 2 has bubbles, and Level 3 is super bad, and you have to go to the hospital. And firemen get burns too even if they’re brave.”Nana blinked at me. “Yes, kiddo, but it can still burn you.”Then Dada told me to wear my hat because the sun was “very, very angry today.” He said it with his serious voice, the one he uses when he talks about the weather like it’s a person.I said okay, but the hat was itchy and made my hair feel weird, so I put it beside me when he wasn’t looking. I don’t think the sun will get mad at me. I didn’t do anything.Mom wasn’t under the big umbrella with us. My aunties and uncles dragged her away so she could swim. They said she

  • The Unwanted Wife   Chapter 250: Beach

Anastasia’s POV Inside the hotel room, Atticus practically vibrated with excitement as I tried to dress him. He kept bouncing on the bed, arms lifted one second, dropping the next, making it nearly impossible to get his shirt on straight.“Atti, hold still,” I reminded him, trying not to laugh. “If you keep moving like that, we’re never going to leave.”“But Mom,” he giggled, “the beach is waiting!”His joy was infectious. I smoothed his hair, forcing a smile.“I know, baby. That’s why we need to hurry.”A soft knock sounded before the door opened and Marianne peeked in.Marianne peeked. “Good morning. Someone looks very excited.”Atticus immediately puffed his chest. “We’re going to the beach!”“I can see that,” she laughed, stepping fully into the room. The hotel room behind her was soft beige walls, a wide window overlooking the shoreline, and two neatly made beds separated by a small wooden nightstand. Atticus’s toys were scattered near the foot of one bed, and my open suitcase s
