Seth's Pov

As I walked into the laboratory, I was met with a sense of apprehension. Dr. Steven was standing in the middle of the room, his expression grave. Lotus was there too, her eyes fixed on me with a mixture of fear and uncertainty. I knew that something was wrong, and I could feel the tension in the air.

"What's going on?" I asked, my voice low and controlled.

Dr. Steven wasted no time in explaining the situation. "Lotus's pregnancy is high-risk," he said, his tone grave. "The baby's DNA is causing complications that could put both her and the child in danger."

My mind reeled at his words. Was our child really a threat to Lotus's health? And what did he mean by the baby's DNA causing complications? I knew that Lotus's pregnancy was already complicated, given our unique situation, but this was something else entirely.

As the doctor suggested terminating the pregnancy, a sense of anger and protectiveness washed over me. This was our child, and I would do anything to keep it safe.
