Chapter 3: A Human To Vampire Transition

Tamari Issoria's Point of View

Present time…

I swindled his arms, who was confidently holding my chin, and then pulled him to be free on the small space he lent me.

He's a vampire. He's a bloodsucker; there's no way I'll submit myself to someone who's a monster like him. I stood up and went to the corner, grabbing the spear just beside me. It was an obvious design in this room, yet I made it my weapon to protect myself from a monster.

"If I were you, I'd put the spear down as it could add up to heavy reasons for your punishment," Brixton—the vampire—said.

"You said you resurrected me... Does that mean I'm already o-one of you?"

Brixton rolled his eyes and stared at me nonchalantly. "Yes."

The thought of being a vampire makes me want to puke. Of all the creatures I have to be turned into, why does it have to be a vampire?

My parents died because of vampires. They were slain on their way home and met with an accident. I grew up with a messed-up life, not having a mother figure or a father who guided me as I grew up. I have none, and I loathe those bloodsuckers for killing my parents.

My parents were hunters. That's what my aunt said, yet my grandmother has a different story. I may be powerless compared to this monster across from me, but the desire to kill this being is blinding me to the point that I wanted to penetrate this spear directly into his heart, but I know he won't die.

"You've been calling my ancestors monsters, scoundrels... names that's irking my fucking mind!" Brixton thundered. "Speak ill of them, and I'll kill you."

"Because it's true! You kill people, drink their blood, and kill them! In our world, you're a criminal who should be in jail, but in your case, you should be in hell!"

Brixton's jaw clenched. His hands turned into a fist as he closed his eyes and calmed himself.

"Shut your fucking mouth before I tape it and kill you myself," he frigidly enunciated.

"Go on… I'd rather die than be your slave and live all my life repenting to be a monster!"

I was bluffing. I just said those words for him to know that I'm strong and can't be under anyone. My shaking voice was suppressed by my full, courageous tone, which triggered the vampire princes to hurt me for the second time.

Brixton no longer gripped my neck, but this time he had the spear pointed at me, exactly at the crucial part of my neck that would bring death to me if I got hit.

He gradually craned his neck and scanned my face. His eyes dropped to my toes as they began shaking along with my trembling, cold fingers. I thought that Brixton would kill me using the spear, but the thought of him threatening me with it became the reason why my vulnerability showed up instead of keeping it all to myself.

"You're an arrogant human who's near to being a vampire," he muttered whilst sneering.

"What did you say?!"

Brixton cast the spear away and spoke. He walked towards the table inside his room as he took out a parchment from it. Gradually, Brixton handed it to me in an arrogant way.

"Read this carefully. If you have questions you'd like to have answered, tell me," he remarked.

The ink of each letter was seen. It has something to do with us, and I'm sure of it. I was biting my lower lip as I was trying to get it with my bare hands. Nevertheless, Brixton pushed through the paper on my hand out of his slipping patience.

I opened the parchment as my eyes widened on it. It was big, and a lot of written words in modern English were on it, including the rules and regulations in this kingdom along with his own rules. The parchment says I am now his slave, one who will do everything for him, and an instrument to bear a child for him.

"B-Bear a c-child?" I mumbled in astonishment.

"Yes," he answered directly. "I am the successor. If no one would present themselves to be my queen, then you will step up and bear one. You ought to give me an heir, as that is one of your duties to be my slave."

"I... couldn't understand."

Brixton used his superpowers to throw me to bed. I was now lying above him, while he was above me. My cheeks began to turn red as I could feel a hard thing like a stone on my thighs, while his face was now on my neck.

"We will do... this," he muttered earnestly in my ears.

God knows how much I loathed and hated their kind. I pushed Brixton away and gave him a deadly glare.

"Do it again, and you will see no light, woman."

Arrogance crept onto his face, along with the sarcastic smirk he had earlier. "I'm not afraid to die, woman. Besides… I know you have no power to do so. You're weak, and your kind only deserves the title of being a slave and maid!"

"And a creature like you deserves the title of being a freak, a monster, a killer, and a criminal who deserves to be in hell!"

Brixton's red eyes showed up, along with the dark veins in his neck and face, while his fangs grew even bigger. My eyes drifted down to his hand, and I witnessed his sharp nails growing like weeds as he began to walk towards where I was.

"Say it once more, and I will fucking slit your throat, right here, right now!" he roared at my disobedience.

Unlike his voice earlier, he sounded like he was so damn ready to kill me, but the anger and his monstrous features vanished after a couple of minutes of touching me.

His facial reaction was speechless. I couldn't read his mind, but one thing is for sure: something happened, and thinking he was a vampire, he might have known about me the moment Brixton grabbed my hand for quite a while, unlike the time he grasped my neck.

"You pushed me to my limits, Issoria," he muttered with caution and viciousness between my ears. "You deserve to be punished."

"I—"

I was about to speak and defend myself when Brixton pressed his lips to mine, claiming it as if I were his, which gave my body an unfamiliar yet alluring sensation that tickled each corner of my body.

I saw how Brixton licked his lower lips with a sly grin, then grabbed the chain that was on my arms earlier and put it on me.

"You are still in the middle of transition, Issoria. You need my blood to be a full-fledged vampire. That means you are still a human and in the process of becoming a vampire. Now, you're bold enough to tell me you'd rather die than become one of us. Then let's see if you're telling the truth or are you going to crawl on me and plead to save your life for the second time again."

He thought that he could menace me with this information, yet I showed him my grim smirk and then enunciated. "I won’t drink your blood no matter what it takes, bloodsucker!"
