Christopher's POV

"Where are we going?" I asked as we walked the streets at night. He’d insisted that we not take a car and just order an Uber.

That was not only very surprising, but it was also very out of character for Dante.

"It’s a surprise," he whispered, dragging me along from where we’d dropped off from the Uber to a salon.

There was a guy cutting hair while some music played.

"Hey, Player," he laughed, opening the door, and the man looked up at us and smiled.

"You made an appointment months ago and you're finally making your way here?" he said in a rude tone, giving us a once over.

"Oh, come on," he shuffled to me.

"Such lush hair," he murmured to himself before giving Dante another stink eye.

He pulled me along.

"Hey, sweetie. You're quite as beautiful as your pictures," he smiled, dragging me to a chair and plopping me on it.

"Are you gonna stand there or will you take a seat?" the man hissed at Dante.

He seemed to have a personal vendetta against him,
