Chapter 7

When we took the last train back, the platform was the same as ever, with a few lights on.

But we didn't expect Saul to still be there. He stood where we had left, his straight back only relaxing when he saw me.

I ignored him and tried to leave directly, but he stubbornly blocked our way.

"I know you haven't formed a bond with him yet I can smell it." I turned a deaf ear and kept walking, but he followed closely. "Since you left, I haven't had a single drop of blood..."

I finally stopped, my patience gone. "Lord Saul, you can drink any blood from anyone now. There's no need to follow me."

"I only want your blood!" he shouted, panting heavily and almost losing his balance.

His haggard look really made him seem like he hadn't eaten in a long time. "Come back with me, just once and the last time."

Seeing I wouldn't budge, his eyes grew crazed as he stared at me and threatened, "Or I'll go back and drink the old butler's blood."
