An illusion

“We still have about thirty more minutes. It should be eno…” but Talon didn’t get to finish the sentence when they suddenly heard loud growling around them with Talon was a little surprised to see large hefty dogs with huge bodies that got all the way to his knees growling at them.

“An illusion?” He asked Kal, conscious of the fact that if they were truly real, how come they hadn’t noticed the dog’s presence until they had been surrounded on all sides.

In the deep darkness around them, Kal simply shook his head, confident that Talon could easily see him.

“Their growling sounds pretty real. Run upstairs I’ll take care of them,” Kal ordered bringing out his sheathed sword without giving Talon another glance, his entire attention completely on the menacing dogs around him.

Which was good since the moment he did, the first dog ferociously attacked, growling so loudly that Kal was instantly sure that he barely had seconds before the people outside and those inside began waking up one after
